I love how in San Andreas the guy in the taxi rammed the pole like 5 times, gets out to do a drug deal, then rams the taxi another 3 times and decides he needs more drugs. San Andreas was too good.

I like that the NPCs walk up to each other and seem to have conversations and occasionally get into fights... it's a small thing but sooooo many new games are missing this little thing that helps the world seem real

@@TheSCPStudio that’s not true. I was literally JUST playing Persona 5 and there was no chatting NPCs. Cyberpunk 2077 is a fairly new game and even with its super detailed city there are no NPC interactions. In Horizon Zero Dawn there are occasionally scripted conversations but there is no game mechanic of roaming and chatting NPCs. I’m almost 100% sure there are more games where this does not happen than games where it does happen

As a diehard fan of the GTA saga, I gotta say that San Andreas is by far my most favorite. It set the bar & set my hopes high for every title that has been released since. I thought Rockstar knocked it out of the park with Vice city but San Andreas will always have a special place.

I think the locations chosen plays a huge part in this and make GTA SA look more lively than other games. If he had gone to a place like “Acter” in GTA IV, and “Grove Street” or “Rancho” in GTA V, we would see much more action in those games. He stood right outside Niko’s safehouse where there’s not much of a population for GTA IV, And stood on the corner of a wealthy neighbourhood for GTA V where the people aren’t violent

*GTA SA* was pushing the world aspect of open world games. That's why it feels so alive, it's because it is *GTA IV* pushed the gameplay aspect. The world isn't as alive but the gameplay and details make up for it. *GTA V* found a good mix between the two RDR2 is where they took that good mix and dialed it to 100%. Truly masterpieces

For GTA IV, you should have went to Star Junction, a lot of shit happens there. You might even witness a crime family fighting against cops. Or on tourist spots wherein you'd see people walking with food or drinks, taking pictures of sceneries, using binoculars, cops chasing peds, aggressive car drivers and etc. I just think GTA IV wasn't represented well here, or i'm just also bias since it's my favorite GTA game.

Rdr2 was the best thing they did in years but sadly it didnt get any of the love of attention it should have because of the star child gta 5. 6:42 some taxi driver starts repeatedly bumping his car into a pole, then gets out to buy some crack and proceeds to continue bumping the car. Then the police comes and shoots the crack dealer but it's attacked by the ballas, who proceed to come and cuss at you after they kill the policeman San Andreas is truly a classic

It was a bug due to draw distance. If it's less planes spawn in the limited space and would crash into some building without having space to fly up.

1:20 That sped up ambulance sound is kind of funny. :) Pretty interesting also overall how most of the games have to rely on the player to make something interesting happen, but SA is actually able to make things happen on its own.

I guess that after rockstar watches this video. They'll be adding a feature in gta 6 in which if character stands for more than 5 minutes, character would control itself and stand beside a wall or atleast sit on nearby public seats. That will be amazing.

One of my favorite things to do in GTAIV is going to a crowded place like downtown for example, I'll hop on a trash bin and throw one molotov at a wall or on the ground. Some NPC's get aggressive when you throw a molotov and they'll fight you. They're unable to hop on the trash bin and they'll end up fighting each other once they start throwing hands, it catches the police attention and they'll make some arrests. Its entertaining to watch lol

You might have chosen poor spots for gta 4 and 5, since I've seen a lot of action in both of them. 4 has traffic accidents with people leaving their vehicles to punch fight the other, and 5 has epic police chasing

To be fair in GTA it is pretty much just a facade. There aren't "millions of characters" there are like a hundred different voices recorded at max and lots of duplicated looks, they hardly interact with each other apart from a few short convos/accidents/shooting and all they do is walk up and down. The Elder Scrolls games went farther with every character in the world be a unique individual with their own name, daily routine etc. Also, recently Watch Dogs Legion done some cool procedural citizen generation (there is a nice video on youtube about their system). Not saying GTA isn't awesome as a whole but the pedestrians are kinda shallow.

In GTA IV you got to go downtown, THAT"S where the life is. One time when I was downtown walking around I saw a guy crash into some pedestrians, get pulled out and beat down. While this was going on a nun came up and kicked him while he was down. It was amazing.

Not exactly. I am playing Cyberpunk 2077 and maybe it's not GTA San Andreas or GTA V level of living world, still seeing sometimes some interesting situations but mostly it's lifeless crowd. Open world in Cyberpunk 2077 could be better if they could delayed release and put more life in it instead of simply, poor scripting of pedestrians and drivers behaviour. I hope they will change it, it's possible

@@JonatasAdoM . Yep it is the Riot cheat. At the end of the game, Tenpenny is free from charges cause he is corrupt and bought out the jury and judge. Los Santos starts going crazy as a result and the place goes to hell. Using the cheat will cause the Ai to have the programming of the end of the game and there will be exploding cars and chaos

I'm playing the GTA SA definitive edition and I'm very impressed with the AI! I mean, yeah cars get stuck here and there, but there's a lot of life going on and NPC's seem to do stuff autonomously that i wasn't expecting them to do for a game from 2002!
