The thing that's worse about the Flying Men is that the game makes you feel bad. As more and more die and you try to recruit more of them in battle, they'll start questioning your motives, asking if you're killing them on purpose. Also, as more and more graves appear if they die, their tombstones start to get less and less detailed, with the final one simply reading "tombstone."

There's also a chapter in the same Paper Mario game where civilians get possessed and used as soldiers by mind-controlling plants, and if you encounter any of these mind controlled people and attack them you'll lose points as a punishment

In Twilight Princess instead of Cuccos attacking Link you can actually play as a cucco for a limited time. Also The Wind Waker has pigs instead of cuccos.

Holy crap, the Whacka dialouge is actually super sad

Due to an oversight, it's also possible to kill Cuccos and pet dogs by setting them on fire in Link's Awakening before the remake. Twilight Princess is also the only game where Cuccos do not retaliate, briefly switching you to playing as the bird instead for some reason.

They left out an NPC in Majora’s Mask where Link can blow up a guy. In front of an old lady as well. To be fair he *was* carrying a shipments worth of bombs.

The worst part about the Whacka clip is that they didn't even pick up any of the Whacka Bumps that dropped.
