yeah growers have started picking up the avocados early in season and storing them for later consumption. This method does not allow the fat to build up in the fruit so it is less tasty and variability in the same tree means some of them will never ripe before they get spoiled

There’s ac no point having smoothies. The oxidisation of the fruit and veg after 30 mins decreases the nutritional density of these foods. Sugar increases. Just eat the fruit and veg and you’ll find it’ll be much better for your body - or read up on this and just see what you make of it, but I too was super surprised and fascinated by this x

If you're thinking of experimenting with veganism, I recommend not relying on processed fake meat, egg, and dairy products (not that I'd expect you to). Personally I avoid tofu as well because I believe it to be unhealthy. The best way to do veganism is to get excited about the sheer number of different fruits, vegetables, grains, pulses, nuts and seeds, herbs and spices that there are available to you.

Set forth the problem: "Creating a consistent, healthy, eating habit can be a challenge" -Matt D'Avella, potential contestant for understatement of the year =P "That's why I create structure by cycling through the same meals almost everyday, instead of reinventing what I eat each day" -gets right to the solution/point of why we're watching -next point makes it clear he's aware some people's attn could be waning as they self-edit in real time and quickly jumps into that thought process for them to keep them engaged/interested and in suspense of learning what they don't know, which could be the key to some value 4 the future them! "I stick with the basics that I love. Don't worry though it's not nearly as boring as it sounds... OK, maybe it is..." -self deprecating humor without being hard or harsh and might also be a bit of a poke at the standard way that almost all solutions try to do to pre-answer their objections (I forget the sales term for this) Caveats given as defense to criticisms and to prevent being overly pointed/aggressive or on-the-offense or offensive to his audience, priming them to be receptive and at ease to put the defenses down and just be in the moment for the rest of the video, I love it! wish we would create a single word to express the idea... I'll get back with a suggestion on buildagoset.com at some point next year... Credit given/commercial now permissible, even if a tad forced... sprinkle on more humor (^.^), hehe =D telling you with pre-summary, what he's going to tell you Solid Zig Ziglar idea... begin true topic content Chicken, sardines, chicken, salmon, chicken, tuna, beef = weekly structure yet with variety Green Smoothies FTW!!! batching... even more so Moving for living =p Plant Protein 4 gut reasons... makes good sense my man I need to increase my hi-cal snack friction and reduce my health friction... seaweed, YEESSH! Nuts are my new go-to gift... quinoa/rice and veggies... sides of champions! seriously... throw out some credit, woot! Tim Ferriss be awesome! Love sauteed kale! I grow some that does not bunch and frill at the edges to much for easy cleaning and it prevents a lot of the spiderwebs the other varieties tend to accumulate on their undersides... and it is SO easy to grow... it self seeds as long as you don't kill it in harvesting, it is very winter hardy... Pro tip: change up the veggies/fruits for your smoothies, to make sure you vary the fibre sources. That helps maintain a healthy gut microbiota, since the microbes are very specific to each type of fibre. If you constantly eat the same fibre sources (or same foods in general), you won't promote the growth of a diverse range of microbes, which in the end is detrimental to your digestion. So for instance, swap the spinach for kale, the apple for a pear etc. It is recommended to eat at least 30 different fibre sources throughout a week for optimal digestion :)

I love meat and cheese so much, but am also lactose intolerant. I recently found out I am allergic to chicken, which is why I've been slowly avoiding a lot of meat in general. In March I went rogue and just went vegan, I don't not feeling bloated/low-level sick all the time. Not everyone is lactose intolerance and allergic to chicken (haha even though I wish I wasn't) but damn, going vegan has been the best thing. It was largely my perception of what a "normal vegan diet" was that kept me from doing it sooner, but deff give it a shot if dairy is making you sick regularly. Daiya, Violife, and Miyoko's have good subs for cheese.

@Marl Senin Easy now. There is absolutely nothing “asshole” about being vegan! I first thought that vegans were hypocrite extremists full of hatred, but now I am one myself and the very fundamental element of being a vegan is feeling compassionate about the earth and animals. The reason why I felt so attacked, is because these vegans were showing my cognitive dissonance, which was very painful. I literally had to mourn over the fact that I couldn’t eat those delicious steaks, eggs and fish anymore. After a few months I was over that (thanks to some pretty rough images in documentaries) and at the moment I realised I couldn’t go back to the omnivore diet, I explored the endless possibilities of vegan food. And trust me, the real love for food returned, I hit the perfect BMI after a year, and all my tested blood values were perfect. Vegan isn’t limiting. It is the exact opposite.

@@xeoaflo12 morally speaking a vegetarian diet is the same as eating meat. Dairy directly supports the suffering and death of cows.
