Thanks for these videos! My wife and I just made the decision to go Vegan and we have been dealing with a lot of backlash from friends and families because they don't fully understand why we would go Vegan. I appreciate all these videos to help us out with our daily meals and gives us more ideas too! Keep it up! :)

I get it. It's really hard for people to understand before they make the connection. You can probably relate since you were there recently... so I'm glad I can these help you out. Be gentle with them. Watch James Aspey and Joey Carbstrong talk to people on the street about veganism. It will basically help give you an answer to almost every possible rebuttle you will face but in a very calm 'just want them to understand' manner.

Derek, when I saw your blender, I immediately thought of horchata (the H is silent). If you haven't heard of it, horchata is a Mexican drink that is basically ground rice dissolved in water. It's sooo refreshing and delicious, and I thought your blender would do it in a snap. The ingredients are: * 1 cup of long grain white rice, rinsed * 2 quarts of water * 1 cinnamon stick, broken in pieces * 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract * 1/2 cup of white sugar or agave nectar 1. In a large saucepan, combine the rice, water, and cinnamon stick. Let it soak for at least 3 hours, or overnight. 2. After soaking, bring it to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 30 minutes. Allow it to cool. 3. Purée the rice mixture in your blender until smooth. Strain it through cheesecloth or a fine sieve. Flavor it with the vanilla and sugar to taste. Chill, and serve over ice, or just cold. Makes 8 servings, About 135 calories each. There are lots of recipes for horchata online. This one is super easy. Even better if you can include 2 cups of blanched and peeled almonds in it. If you add in the almonds, they call it Tiger's milk (but no milk in it).

Simnett Nutrition Thanks Derek. It's really more a question to help with getting the most bang for my bucks. In London, hemp seeds are much more expensive than Chia Seeds, which are much more expensive than Flax seeds. So I always wonder whether there is any point in buying Hemp (and Chia) when they don't seem to have a taste anyway and are more expensive and at first glance seem less nutritious than Flax!

I don't remember the prices when I was in Canada but here in France, prices at the farmers market are often the same as in a supermarket for a better quality product and if you go there about half an hour before they close they discount a lot of stuff because they'd rather sell it cheap than throw it away at the end of the day.

This is possibly the single best video I've ever watched! Mostly because most vloggers are so fake, and this isn't and is so smooth, and easy to watch. It's like how life should be!

I have always told my co-workers that dates and pumpkin seeds go so well together! the bitterness of the seeds is balanced out by the sweetness of the date :D now you included them it into a sandwich , I LOVE IT !

This was great! Thank you for sharing! I am also a fan of pumpkin seeds on open faced sandwiches- my boyfriend laughs bc it's so messy but hey that extra iron keeps me going! Definitely going to try that sauce - looks delicious and versatile 😃
