You are a lifestyle changer man :) Seriously, I've got a whole lot of ideas of how to make perfectly balanced meals from your videos, and now I'm creative in the kitchen as never before. Like, there are endless variations of recipes, so when people think that the vegan diet is boring and is only about restrictions, they are wrong!

Hey! I just found your channel and love the videos! I've been vegan for over 3 years now and relate to everything you say! Especially how you mentioned that you actually starting to crave those plant based whole foods! I literally crave broccoli every day and wake up wanting oatmeal and bananas! So basically I have the whole nutrition thing down, but have recently started to want to build some muscle and gain some mass - I'm pretty skinny and want to gain muscle so your videos have given me great ideas on how to incorporate more healthy calories into my meals. Any more videos on that topic would be awesome! AKA tips for how to gain healthy weight and muscle mass on a whole food plant based diet. But keep the videos coming because they're great!

If you are looking to build some more muscle just eat the same whole food plant based diet you are eating now, but just eat more of it! An easy way to get in some easy calories and healthy fats is to just add a handful of almonds or any nuts to a meal. An oz. of almonds is over 150 calories!

Loving the greens from the garden! I’m so happy to see people harvesting from their own yard! I do the same. My favorites are red Russian kale and Cranberry hibiscus 🌺 they come back every year here in sunny Florida! Bravo on Crystal for making Almond Milk! We make cashew milk for smoothies at my work- basically all the same steps but we leave the nuts in the milk instead of straining them out. Gives a great nutty texture. I love these videos! It’s awesome to find someone I can relate to so much! Thanks for putting so much time into these. The quality is phenomenal.

Derek, I love watching your videos man. I’m always getting inspiration and new ideas on eating a vegan diet from you (along with having many LOL moments while watching). I’ve been progressing towards a vegan diet for like 4 years now (pescatarian to vegetarian back to pescatarian and have recently, in the last 6 months, gone almost completely vegan). Derek, do you ever worry about smoked tofu or tempeh? I saw on Dr. Greger's QA the other day that he does not recommend cooking high fat/high protein foods at high temperatures because of some possible carcinogens. I don't remember the name of the compounds produced but I have been worrying and Have avoided tofu lately.

Yiğit Can Tiryaki Your mouth acts as a blender. If it lost nutritional value that fast it would lose nutuition as you chew it and break up the food in your mouth. I've seen studies that show after exposure to air over 30 minutes or temperature change foods can in fact lose nutrition.

I love how you have a ton of videos about what you eat in a day. Honestly, the hardest part of going vegan is knowing what to eat. Thank you!

We've always known that you need to eat veggies and avoid sugars and fats to stay healthy but often times every single person who tries to go on a healthy diet is told by people around them that it's not sustainable.. By doing this vlog Derek you have helped me and thousands of others,by the likes I see to your videos, stay along the vegan journey without straying away too much. Vastly improving our health. I haven't seen a comparable more natural honest relatable vlogger in the entire healthy lifestyle KZfaqrs community, I think you're at the top. So thank you. I've had a great change in my personal lifestyle following how you eat and people that I inspired as a result. I appreciate it, can't thank you enough.. Keep doing this!!

One thing I'm surprised by is the amount of smoothies that you have *Simnett. How do you manage to have so many smoothie and not get effected? So what I mean by that is when fruit gets pulverised or mashed to a smooth pulp, all the fibre is lost and the natural sugar is released and turns it into fructose which spikes your insulin levels. Have you had any problems with your blood sugar levels?
@Trojanmachine69
@Trojanmachine69 6 жыл бұрын
BounceTo TheBeat juicing does that, blending keeps the fibre with the sugar, juicers filter out the fibre making it high glycemic, blending also breaks open more nutrients to be bioavalaible.

You are an incredible inspiration! I have a good question that you've never talked about before! What about your social life? You don't have a regular job to go to and never show anyone but you and Crystal. Don't you have friends or interact with anyone else other than maybe the gym front desk person? Thanks!

Why? A proper elimination is part of being healthy especially with all that fiber man. A sign that you're eating enough fiber is that you poop after almost every meal. My personal experience lol :)
