Whenever people find out I'm vegan, one of the first questions is always, 'What kind of stuff do you eat then?" In this video I want to answer that question. I wanted to make this video to give you some ideas on what you could keep stocked in your kitchen if you want to start eating more plant based! Hopefully it's helpful. Let me know in the comments down below! Also, what did you think of my first little mini skit? Would you like to see more?

I'm practically in tears with relief with all the help your videos have given me. I've gone too fast being vegan and have to back track and work into it slower for my lifestyle, and it felt like an overwhelming task all over again, but you make it so much more doable. You're inspiring Dude, thanks a ton

Been a meat eater all my life and former hobby power lifter. Developed terrible inflammation in my left peroneal tendon (left outer ankle). Gave up power lifting because of it so that I could heal. During the healing process I took to eating dangerously high amounts of sugar and lost a lot of muscle mass as a result. Transitioned to a ketogenic diet and despite the claims of subsiding hunger and cravings, I was always hungry and craving even when I followed an I.F. regiment. I then transitioned to a carnivore diet in attempts to curve hunger and reduce risk for inflammation in my ankle. My body was absolutely unable to digest meat without fiber and B.M.s became literally painful. I am now transitioning to a vegetarian protocol (willing to eventually go full on vegan). On my very first day on a vegetarian protocol my hunger subsided completely and it felt controlled. No sugar craving and no pain in my ankle as of 2 weeks in.

Anyone considering that "carnivore" diet, should definitely check this out: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/h7WklJCUu9LPYXU.html I have never seen so insane cholesterol results. Total cholesterol 451.9mg/dl and LDL of 362.8mg/dl. How deep in denial you have to be, to actually think that that's good? That's like playing russian roulette.

Keep going! I was the exact same as you, had eaten meat all my life and after watching a documentary switched to veganism overnight (not for everyone though, so go at your own pace 😊) and it is honestly the best decision I've ever made! I had IBS before and now i get way fewer cramps and digestion is much easier. You are doing the right thing! Good luck on your journey, lovely. 😊

You are the vegan master Derek. Really. Thank you. You prove that it works, because you live it and thrive, and prove that it doesn't have to compromise anything. This kitchen tour is really insightful especially for someone like me who has been doing this a while now (two years, which is still really nothing in the grand scheme of things, but still long enough to be quite impactful) and has done tons of research but still hasn't mastered it yet. Very true, depends on who it is, and how interested they are. I've noticed my coworkers have started eating much healthier since I've started working with them. Seems to be easier to motivate to eat clean then to get people to the gym! haha

Honestly, it is more expensive if you eat like Simnett do. Like a lot of fresh fruit, berries, proteinpowder, a lot of fresh greens everyday, quina, black rice. It's a lot more expensive. If you however skip the expensive green and fresh berries and go for frozen vegetables and a major source potatoes, white rice, couscouse, lentils and beans then it's as cheap or cheaper I recon.
