As I understand, the red text that said your naval supremacy was limited to 50% did not halve your supremacy, it set it to a maximum of 50%. So you had 96% naval supremacy or whatever you had, but that was limited to a max of 50%, which made it 48% instead. Once your intel was enough to give you 55% naval supremacy, you had enough for a naval invasion.

Oh hey, I did that not that long ago. You can also just rush fascism, get a wargoal and puppet Hungary, then not calling them into the war. Serves the same purpose of having a neutral border and you can even get some factories from them.

Idk if you know, but artillery only was nerfed after isp originally did it. artillery units have 0 organization (i think) so it's pretty much impossible.

It is exactly the same level of suffering as when I played the Americans. The new content is a definition of anti-fun with how railroaded it is. Like what is the point of the imperial civil war if you are just going to join Britain that is completely inept again anyway? Or how SCA basically cant do anything, you unite America and then you cant even get involved in the world wars.

This information might be coming a little late but the starting screen lies. Don't select 2nd continental army, select the commonwealth instead. Fairly early into the game you'll start receiving events about riots by veterans. There's focuses in your focus tree to deal with the veterans. Pick the most brutal options and you'll eventually be given the choice to flee the commonwealth with Butler and with that play as the 2nd continental army, hope that helps!

The problem with the naval supremacy thing is probably that there wasn't enough Intel. Sometimes it does that. You should have some ships on patrol (8 destroyers or 1 light cruiser + 4 destroyers seem to work best) they will find and spot enemy ships. Usually enemy ships on convoy escort or subs. If the spotters attack them, the enemy fleet will come out to destroy the spotters and your fleet can then intercept when set to strike. Usually the spotters can get away pretty easy if they are 32+ knots. Having subs in the area will typically cause an enemy fleet to come out to. After the enemy fleet is destroyed or damaged and repairing; naval supremacy will shift to you both from having less enemy ships and increased Intel from engaging the enemy. Naval bombers can also contribute to Intel, and obviously cause damage at the same time. Also, if you know where an enemy fleet is in port and it won't come out, send spotters to the adjacent sea zone, then send either land based naval bombers or bring a fleet with carriers and set the planes to port strike. The AI will usually send the ships somewhere else and your fleet can instantly intercept. Put radar on spotting ships too. It extremely noticable how much quicker they spot with radar.
