It gives Anakin a home full of love, and the Amidalas would definitely attempt to get Shmi out of Slavery and even if by that time Lars freed and married her, would invite him and his family as well as Shmi to Naboo to live a more comfortable life. Dooku would train Anakin both out of an obligation to his former Padawan and maybe under Sidious’s order since the Jedi wouldn’t be training Anakin to fight the Dark Side. It’d be an interesting premise to say the least.

I don’t get him not saving her. I’m a super powerful Jedi serious engineering and flying capabilities. With some planning and securing stuff he had more than enough ability to get her and if the Jedi don’t like it I’d be like yeah that’s my only relative I know of my master was the closest thing it a father and obi wan is kind of a jerk to keep at times so I’m going to save them. I mean it seems like many years before he would have had the power already to go save her. He’d have access to whatever he needs to bring with him to take the thing off that doesn’t let them escape and he couldn’t easily slip in at night and smuggle her out and then get her a place secretory somewhere either near padme or on the planet with the Jedi temple. Obviously I’m sure he could get money if needed with his abilities both as a Jedi and engineer and pod racer or padme could provide it. If it takes. While to get there make an excuse say you got lost on a mission invent a mission close to where you need to be and then get lost or just say you were captured or whatever else to cover and then later say you escaped or found help where you were stranded.

Well yeah it’s still her husband and the person she feels probably the closest tie to and she and others may feel partially responsible for him turning. He’s the most powerful being like ever who came form slavery and struggle and those around him did very little to help direct him his original master was the only one who has that ability and he was lost the first father figure he’d had cut down quick. Also part of the core of Star Wars is like even someone as evil as Vader still had good and could be redeemed there’s a massage of extreme redemption and hope when even the person themselves thought they were too far gone and still had something to be redeemed. If Luke saw it there’s a chance padme would as well.

Also if she could get him to revert he’d be a powerful force in saving the republic as he’s again extremely powerful. And if anyone could maybe get him to not be so evil you’d think someone like padme would do it, or his original master. Obi wan is like a brother but he’s also off in some areas in how he handles Anakin.

It’s just stupid. If he had gotten more actual support he may have been less susceptible to his weaknesses and fears mixed with his immense power he’s trying to learn to master. And then was used by someone who tricked everyone and was really good at it; I mean he tricked padme into helping him gain immense power and Anakin had very little guidance and was troubled and he and a long time to mislead him and he is a dude who can literally hide himself from an entire council of Jedi for years you don’t think he had immense ability to trick people. The point was he was balanced between these forces and is more powerful so he’s unstable more and with more support he may have not turned, he was battling things within himself. Also we don’t really know maybe sidious was using the dark side to warp his thinking as he may have been doing that with the dreams and so on.
