Error that was pointed out to me: For some reason I mention Pikachu pointing something out, when Pikachu isn't even part of that story. Not sure how I missed that in the scripting. I honestly just copied that part from Bulbapedia since it was barely changing, and somehow overlooked it.

Cool to see Agatha be a bigger part of the story. The elite 4 have always been under utilized in the anime. Gary's team, outside of gengar, is looking pretty close to canon so far. Definitely a cliff hanger, that is for sure. Curious to see how this pans out.

I only question it since everything up until this point was pure Gen 1 material, but I wonder if this takes place in the I Choose You Universe which aligns with Gen 7.

@@dericksmith6526It doesn't. It's more that the main Pokemon anime includes things beyond Generation 1 regardless. For example, the first Journeys episode takes place before Gen 1's anime starts, but treats Pichu as a Pokemon that has always existed. Other examples can be Marill and Ho-oh showing up before their true introduction as well. While I was originally going to stick to Gen 1 stuff, I ultimately decided that if I could find a reason for it to show up early, and since the anime doesn't limit themselves timeline wise, then I won't limit myself either

my prediction is Gary & Ash trade Pokémon to evolve them & in another part Brock & Sada Pokémon will evolve like Abra & Geodude they will trade

@@darkdragon7210 So the way the canon version went is that they were originally transported and shrunk down, but escaped just fine with the help of Sabrina's Dad. Upon returning, Brock and Misty were fully turned into dolls after Ash made Sabrina mad

Nice to see a bit more of Seda here. I hope she'll have more in the plot moving on. So does this place in the I Choose You universe? I ask due to the existence of dark-types and Absol's presence.

No, this does not take place in the Movie AU. In the actual anime, Dark types and the presence of more modern things are just considered to always be there. For example, the Journeys episode that acts as a prequel to the entire series includes Pichu as a Pokémon, despite the fact that at the beginning of the anime, Pichu wouldn't have been a known Pokémon.

@@ElectroPikachu Well that example makes sense since Jouneys is Gen 8 so Pichu makes sense be there. I guess I was imagining this series to be like the original series anime, so I was only expecting Gen 1 material since that's how things were looking to be. But if you're saying that you're going to acknowledge things past gen 1 that's fine. I was just curious.

@@dericksmith6526 Well the reason I bring it up is despite the fact it's from Gen 8, that episode takes place before Gen 1's anime starts. Even the games like Legends Arceus act as though things such as Fairy type, have been around the whole time, rather than being a more recent discovery

Being that your series began, and up until this point, felt like a retelling of the original series, I was just surprised to see later generation content. But it was simply my mistake to assume it as such, so that's my bad.
