Yeah something “shiny and new” gives them a dopamine hit and they feel great. Once that wears off they leave that relationship too.

Nope, stay your butt over there with the rebound. It's one thing to leave because the relationship isn't working, but sneaking around, lying, sleeping with, complaining to, etc another person like a coward is the nail in the coffin. If you go through all of that deception for something then you might as well suck it up and stick with it

After two years of relationship I decided to break up with her (not really what I wanted but we had problems communicating and trusting each other, avoidant issues from her side and anger management from mine). I asked her to meet three weeks after the breakup to try to fix things and I discovered she slept with this guy just days after our break up. Never saw that coming from her and I’m still going through traumatic feelings and desperation. Do you think it applies in the same way you described in your comment? She wasn’t lying she met this guy days later, but I’m having a hard time accepting it

A rebound for me is when there is no fixing, I was open to working on each others points of failure to maybe one day try again, but she ended it with me then a week later started seeing someone, rebound or not for me it’s over now

Bro there's nothing wrong with you. She is clearly emotionally immature and doesn't even value her own intimacy/sexuality to wait more than a few weeks to sleep around again.. I know it hurts and I bet she was amazing when you were together, but she has changed. Try to move on.. find a girl who share your values not someone who sleeps around

How sure is the rebound is going to not work out cause she see her value is higher then mine and wants someone whos not smarter, financially capability, immaturity, laziness and irresponsible, is like i am the worst cause all of this is what i should have alr 😔 but didnt thats why we broke up but it taught me and i am progressing well now

Gf threw away a 13 year relationship all because my work cut alot of ppl to part time. I put my all heart wise into this girl. I cleaned house, I did all the laundry, I work nights & come home and pick up after our daughter which I don't mind. I pay bills and pay my half of rent. Crazy to know just a month ago she was kissing me n making me a lunch to take to work, now I'm "not good enough". Tired of being gave up on when all I ever did was "show" love and put in actual effort. None of this bothers her. And that shit hurts. 13 years. To let me go and feel nothing smh. 2 weeks after her finally telling me she don't love me anymore, I find out she's fuck!ng our neighbor! She used to go 2 months without even touching me now she's already opening her legs for this new guy?!!! Makes My heart hurt so dam bad. The pain is crazy. I figured 13years with someone and a child together that she would at least feel some type of emotion giving up on me. Instead she immediately starts sleeping with our neighbor! Ain't been broke up more than 2 weeks! The pain I feel is unbearable! 13 years together and a kid together and she could care less if I live or die. She's prolly sooo happy with this new guy already while me n my daughter feel broken and depressed. Thought she would feel something for me after that long together smh idk what to do anymore

Stay strong my bro. Its going to be hard. You're going to be in a lot of pain for a long time but try to go no contact as much as you can since you have a kid together and focus on you. Feel all the hurt and the emotions and go through it as much as you need to process the loss. But over time the pain will slowly go away. Just keep focusing on you and try to find your self as an individual again. Pain leads to growth. I wish you well bro

I’m going through similar right now brother you aren’t alone. We have a two year old daughter and still live together so it’s hard on me. She stays at the other guys house a few nights a week while I stay home with our daughter. We will meet better people in time. Stay strong .

Dude this is exactly what I'm going through. 12 years of a marriage thrown away after 4 weeks. I'm pouring my heart into my kids. Bettering my body and finding a better job. It's sad to say, but she screwed herself and her new partner. Because all my kids can think about is Why is this guy keeping Mommy away from the daddy?

This happened to me with my ex, she cheated on me with some dude. So both of then against me, i stopped “finding answers” when i realised i cant win this immature games. So i disappeared comepletely, shit hurt so bad as it took me about a good year to finally heal and accept reality. Felt good, never looked back eversince. It’s been about 6 years now and a friend said they’re gettint married. Good for them tho, even better for me as im not sure what was coming my way if i had stayed.
