Yess..legibility is SO important! I still remember there was a challenge on instagram and people couldn't differentiate on someone's post between " wine" and "urine" ..yikes!

This is my favorite video of all that I’ve seen on your channel, Becca! Even though I’ve been doing copperplate for several years, I got a lot out of it! I especially loved the part about transitioning copperplate to more modern styles. Like another commenter, I am dying to get one of those pen holders; it’s great that you don’t need a screwdriver to change nibs!

I loved seeing the process from traditional to modern lettering. Plus, the guidelines to keeping your words legible! I often see work on Instagram that compromises legibility and appreciate the way you pointed out the importance of it. I'm reinspired to learn pointed pen again!

Thank you Becca for this - this might help me (as a lefty) make my ‘slant’ uniform! I tried pointed pen calligraphy but didn’t really got into it last time - maybe its time to take out the ink and nibs again!🙏🏻 And that hand guard is really helpful too!👏🏻

A great video. Amazing to think that Copperplate was what was every day writing at one time! Once I'm au fait with modern calligraphy, I'm going to try my (lefty) hand at it! This was super helpful seeing Younghae using an righty oblique holder in her left hand. VERY difficult.
