Seriously though: PeopleMover movie. Call me, Disney.

My father took me to Disney for the first time in 2021. He was very upset at the state of the imagination pavilion. He spent to whole ride home explaining how glorious it was when he was a kid. Unfortunately, he passed earlier this year.

With the new movie and the meet and greet, I’d be legitimately shocked if nothing big Figment related happens in Epcot, also I’m a person who grew up with the most recent version of Journey Into Imagination, so if it was remade into the old version, I’m curious what I’d think of it

I miss the original. I want them to bring back Dreamfinder and restore the full track.

At this point, until they actually officially announce *something* I'm not going to hold my breath on anything. Hold strong Florida fans, from California!

Meeting figment in person was a full on spiritual experience. I was super close to crying tbh. But seriously tho if they re-vamp the ride that would make this the best year of my life honestly.

Your passion for the PeopleMover and wanting it to return to Disneyland is endearing. I think I was a little kid when the PeopleMover as still around and went on it only time. Would be nice to experience it again as an adult and truly appreciate it. #BringBackThePeopleMover!!!

I would love it if they brought figment to Disneyland, just putting it out there, there is a unused theater in Tomorrowland they could do something with, I’m thinking something like it’s tough to be a bug but just centered around figment and an updated dream finder

I’d have to agree about Living with the Land! I’m a big science nerd so I love it, but my *first* love and forever Disney crush will always be Figment. The lovable Purple Dragon has had my heart since I was 7 years old, and believe me, that’s been a looooong time. I *am* old enough to remember Dreamfinder and the original ride, although it was The Dragon who captured my imagination from the start. I hope Disney sees how amazing his fandom is and brings back the original or some form there of.

For a Journey into Imagination update: What about a virtual omnimover dark ride? There's tons of nostalgia for old original rides like Horizons, World of Motion, and even Universe of Energy not to mention rides from other parks like If You Had Wings, Adventure Through Inner Space, and, of course, the original Journey into Imagination. Using projection technology like that used in Mickey and Minnie's runaway railway you create a virtual omnimover that replicates the experience of those former rides. Pushing the idea even further, simulate a ride on the Disneyland Peoplemover circa 1969 complete with views of the Mary Blair murals, guests in period clothes, and the original Rocket Jets. I'm sure Disney has the audio tracks from those rides in their vaults. The visuals could be created with CGI processing of historic photographs and videos. Maybe not quite as good as the originals but the nostalgia factor would compensate. Better to ride a simulated re-creation of Journey Through Inner Space than to always wonder what the ride was like. Changing the ride seasonally would maintain interest similar to how Star Tours is always different. Finally, Figment would remain the host of the attraction and introduce you to each ride.

Why have I only just realized that costume characters would be a dream job for a furry? They certainly would be the be really good at it since their ability to emote in a costume is ridiculously good some times.

Give the People Mover the respect it deserves! As to Figment walking into Imagineering, I took it as he is headed there for a visit to share the spark of innovation. Perhaps we get to see Figment greeting some of the Imagineers and such.

Are you going to talk about the possibility of a Figment ride at Disneyland's Tomorrowland? That could go in Launch Bay pretty easy now that we know that Avatar is going to DCA. Also there is the space where the motor boats were. That could be something, like an outdoor future ride.

I love this channel not just bc I love Disney and Theme Parks. But I just relate to Dallin’s humor and video style so much to the point that a classmate in college who also loved theme parks called me out for having the same vibe as Offhand Disney in a video I made for class

I remembered hearing somewhere that Tony Baxter would only come back to Disney if they were gonna do something with Journey into Imagination. So, maybe well see a remastered version of the original by Original Designer (If he's involved). Exciting times for retro Disney Fans. The Adventureland Treehouse, return of the Swiskapolka, and now this!

I LOVED Figment the most in my 1st Disney experience as a little in the 80’s! Little Figment was the best! The rainbow tunnel & use of black lights made it so magical! Bring it all back Disney!

Original attraction restored with enhanced tech & spfx I think would be the best direction to go. Think something like how Disneyland updated Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln and their Fantasyland rides. 👍🏻👍🏻 I think the ride should happen before the movie, but ultimately I’d hope the movie is possibly Paperman style with that classic Disney charm & sincere writing.

If they are revamping the ride 🤞, lets hope they bring back the old track layout.

i’ll be very surprised if at the very least the ride doesn’t get a facelift! even just swapping out the videos on the screen or changing the ~controversial~ skunk smell would give it new life and could be done relatively fast

So..... I can at least answer one thing. Two of the people in the tiktoks are Dan Hernendez and and Benji Sanjit, who were said to be writing said movie. This most likely means the production is on schedule and got approved for sure.

And as always when you make a video. Disney will probably post something about this on the socials tomorrow 😂 Btw did Disney Dan already got a call for playing The Dreamfinder in the movie?

I did do remember it being brought up on a video on the history of the attraction that Disney indicated on Twitter that they had plans for the attraction. I wonder this has anything to do with it.

I never got to experience the original Journey into Imagination, and would love for Dream Finder to return. I’m hoping that the silhouette of the Dream Mobile on Figment’s meet and greet wall was a hint too.

My proposal... Journey Into Imagination: Dreamfinder's Legacy Reintroduces the Dreamfinder as he passes on his knowledge and experience (including Figment) to a new generation.

Bring Figment and Dreamfinder to Discoveryland in Disneyland Paris it would fit so perfectly

Considering Dreamfinder was featured on the big mural for the Food & Wine festival this year....one can hope they'll be re-doing Journey Into Imagination and bringing him back. But I highly doubt they'd just re-do it as it was, as much as that would tickle me.

With him walking into Burbank.... Maybe a DL addition with Figment? But seriously PLEASE update the ride at Epcot with homage to original! And... OFD... please make a vlog on the sheer awesomeness of Living with the Land - Holiday edition this year with all the lights and Christmas decorations. It is sheer perfection!

When I was 14 I went to Epcot center in its second year. I thought it was the greatest nerdliest place in the world with the education and entertainment and the world pavilions !!! I geeked out on living with the land!!! I’m sad to see what it has turned into: a park that I know a lot of people tell me they aren’t planning to go to on their next trip!! 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️.

I was today years old when I discovered the existence of Figment and I have never wanted a movie for a character more than this

I Like how the last video was talking about make or break for the park with Tiana’s Adventure, but this prospect is giving more positive hope than anything. Pretty much any update to Journey into Imagination would be a positive one. I think this is definitely something Disney is teasing. Super exciting!!!

On top of the Journey Into Imagination ride, the cream on top was the interactive area after the ride.

Just restore the original ride, the opening sequence was awesome....update some of the effects, but stay true to the original..... and the Peoplemovers.....give the people what they want...

I LOVED the steampunk style blimp on the original ride (with dream finder as well)...and the original curious and full of wonder Figment personality ...the new impish personality is not as good.

If it’s not Toy Story 5 or Frozen 3, then it’s on hiatus or not getting made. Disney can’t afford to make any more movies right now.

If they were planning anything they would have mentioned it at one of the many conferences they've hosted that people pay a lot of money to hear about what they are, in fact, planning.

I feel that if they really had the budget, they would finish the Play pavilion, and once everything in EPCOT is finally DONE, they will shut down Imagination. People will freak out about Disney ruining their childhood by reimagining the ride. People freaked out when they finally removed the temporary 100 years sorcerers hat at MGM. It’s all they knew. But brining back an updated version of the original 80s ride, would be great, once people actually get to see it.

Disney will never commit to anything unless the Figment movie makes a billion dollars and given the constant underperforming of their films lately I just don't see that

As much as I’d like to keep my hopes up for a Journey Into Imagination remodel, this seems more like a stunt to get people talking about Figment, so they can release a sneak peek or trailer for the new movie while it’s still hot off the press. Disney isn’t the *best* when it comes to listening and taking feedback from its guests regarding the parks, they just kinda do what they want now, guests will show up regardless, yknow? Anyways, that’s my pessimism talking, but I will say Im going to keep my expectations very, very low for the Figment movie until we get a trailer or some hint at what Figment will look like. My ideal scenario would be taking from the lore of the Dreamfinder in the short comic series and adapting it to a movie-length plot, but I have a feeling they’ll oversimplify for a family audience. Which Im not too upset about, the storyline from the comics is a little convoluted anyways. But I will say this: if Figment is CGI for a majority of the film I will probably not be watching it. 2D, animatronic and walk-around Figment are the only designs of his that exist to me, I do Not want gross realistic CGI eyes on the cute cartoon purple dragon :(

Everyone loves cute characters and Figment is absolutely fucking adorable. I really hope Figment gets that much needed facelift in his ride. His cgi model is too much like bowling animation now. A return to some kind of land of imagination over a stuffy factory would be a dream come true. Look i aint gonna lie if they bring the figment ride back to some kind of its original glory I'll risk desanctimonious's travel ban for trans folks (but maybe it'll open when its safe i really hope so my heart breaks that i can't go right now).

Given the current status of the Walt Disney company, the only thing one could realistically expect is a change in specialty food, drinks. Possibly a few little known character meets, possibly seasonal costumes for the cast members and characters and that's about it. Disney isn't putting anything in to the guests experience that costs real money or real effort...but will continue to increase the price to do so. The only new lands and attractions will be in overseas parks. The reason... Disney is broke, and, Disney has their hands tied now with Florida/California government putting a halt to "we're just going to do whatever we want". Disney did all of this to themselves and I don't feel one ounce of pity towards them. Maybe they can pull themselves out of their hole, but I don't see it happening in my lifetime.

I’m lucky enough to have ridden all three versions of Journey into Imagination. I’ll tell you, riding the second version was the biggest letdown in history to me. I love Figment and I miss Dreamfinder IMO gutted the whole thing and make a trackless ride with Dreamfinder a la Mystic Manner

Last year was my first trip to Epcot and it's easily my second favorite Disney park.

Hear me out, Inovathions at Disney land seems to be empty so, What if they make some new experinse feturing Figment at Disneyland including his meet and greet.

The original journey into imagination was spectacular. Honestly, one of my favorite rides of all time. The new one, meh.

Im excited for the movie i just hope the story is good more than the animation or if its CGi or not, id love to get it on DVD so i can always remember and remind myself to be a better artist. I just made it back to Epcot with my family itll probably be the last time i get to go there, i went to the Journey To Imagination ride today, and didnt go on the ride but i took some cool pics and wished everyone well there, i am more excited for the movie, i think we should all grab that DVD because Figments quote, A Dream Can Be A Dream come true, is amazing for aspiring artists

I feel like once the movie comes out maybe disney will try to make the ride based on the movie. Which could be a good or bad thing depending on how the movie is received. At the end of the day I am just looking forward to an updated and better figment ride.

I hope the movie is like the comic book but with the movie I think they should make figment in 2d and then have a human dream finder sort of like who framed Roger rabbit concept

It's time -- Hopefully it's getting a redo. It would be interesting if they found some way to incorporate the original and current versions and then 'plus' that. That's kinda how I'm feeling about the Adventureland Treehouse at Disneyland. It gives me hope that Imagineering knows what people want.

How about a newer and better than ever ride with a pavilion equally newer and better? I feel like the entire pavilion could use a glow up.

A refurb heading back towards the original ideas would be fantastic! Don't get me wrong, Eric Idle is awesome... buuut having experienced the original... Neither of the newer ones have come close and I don't think it's nostalgia on my part. I think it was just tighter and better.

I thought there was some talk at the beginning of the Epcot refurb of making the Journey into Imagination ride into an Inside/Out ride that would still somehow keep Figment as an element.

Never give up on getting the People Mover back. It needs to happen! They also need to bring back the original version of the Figment Ride. It doesn't need to be exactly the same but it needs to be close.

I want to see a ride that ties in to activities Like in the wait cue they ask guests to create things. Then on the ride those creations appear projected in to the ride so YOUR imagination com es to life. Also the ride will be different each time.
