If you follow high school or even college basketball, you probably heard of Overtime Elite a new professional pathway that started last year. The league was something we had never seen before which was a mix of development, exposure, NIL opportunities, and elite competition amongst the players who are in the league while giving out 6 figure contracts. A lot of people like me did not understand really what this was and what it meant for the future of college basketball recruiting and if it can become a formidable path to the NBA. But with hours of research, following the league over the course of its first season this past year, and watching the documentaries, I am confident in saying I can explain to you every detail you might need or want to know and help you gain a full understanding behind this extremely unique league. Unless OTE ends up getting a huge controversy for fraud or some other big scandal, it seems like one of the best ideas and establishments for young basketball prospects. By its 5th season, I’m sure the exposure will be there. Seems awesome and I’m a huge fan

This is a helpful video but I really think they should expand to have more than 3 main teams, where at least one will focus on high schoolers, one would be pro and at least one part of a new or existing college with programs focused on sports. The college ones can possibly play other colleges, the high school ones can probably play more high schools and the pro ones can spend more time over seas playing international clubs. This is probably what will haven some how and it would be really cool if they played some games against the g league (at least the ignite) and any other semi-pro leagues.

It wasn't exactly his idea, This type of idea has been around for year's, Lavar was the only one who got it somewhere off the ground, But it was terribly executed which is why it didn't succeed.

I’ll tell you one thing, I think the G-League should take some notes from this. While the G-League isn’t overly profitable or popular, they could benefit from copying the model of building an arena for their more popular teams that looks as unique and fun as the OTE Arena. Lower capacity but cool architecture and the infusion of technology. You’d really get the feel that you’re watching the future of the game.
