Well... no. First of all the minecart elevator is made, by redstoners, secondly, elevators aren’t really ever used for practical used and more so for looks. And third of all, flying machines, which are used for the elevators, are extremely useful

@@determinedhelicopter2948 ??? water??? tnt still does damage in water and sheilds are no useful too. yes, shields do block tnt damage but to get launched directly upwards u have to place tnt right below you or all around you so sheilds wont work.

Great video! But forgot one: riptide 3 with elytra, while it is raining. This is so fast, as long as you spam the trident, that my game can’t load fast enough and I hit unloaded chunks 100% of the time. Drawbacks: when you get high enough rain turns to snow, and riptide can’t be used while snowing, and it does have to be raining for it to take effect.

When it comes to Minecraft and Terraria, I like to think of Minecraft as being the older brother and Terraria being the younger brother (figuratively and literally). Older people tend to be more chill and easygoing, hence the simplicity of Minecraft. Younger people tend to be more ecstatic, hence Terraria containing all these crazy weapons, armor, and bosses.

@@quinntanium350 True, but Minecraft isn't about ranking higher in gear or stuff, but rather it is about expanding your creativity. Yeah vannila Minecraft might not have as much as Terraria has, but given the amount of mods, servers, addons, etc created by the community, you basically have an endless amount of things to choose from. Heck, there is a group dedicated to putting Terraria in Minecraft now as a modpack.

You can crank up the riptide speed in rain since you can spam that boost and don't need to wait until you're in the next water source

Consider... the ender pearl stasis elevator. Once set up you could go from y1 all the way to build limit in an instant.

I think the quickest method is going to be one of those like minecart elevators Note: Just watched the video and I mean the one where you spam click into a new Minecraft, not the slim block one

If you sprint and hold space at the same time, you go up even faster when climbing up a water stream, but you also go forward so you need a block to keep from falling out of the stream

For bubble (soul sand + water collumn) elevators, you go faster when holding space, you go even faster if sprint swimming while looking straight up and as far as I can recall, deapth strider makes you even faster. I also read on the wiki that speed potions increase swim speed when using deapth strider 3, but don't know if this helps when swimming in a bubble elevator. I am slightly disappointed you didn't mention this. Otherwise, your video was great, and I learned a lot.

My favourite is still the bubble elevator. Easy to make and use! Tip: to create the water sources, first place a dirt block where the soul sand should be and fill all the water with kelp. After you're done, just remove the dirt block and put the soul sand in place :)

The use of two nether portals should be considered too. If you have a portal on the bottom of the world and one on the top of the world and one in the nether that teleports you to the one on top with just over 4 seconds per teleportation you could travel almost 50m/s.

Shown in mumbo's video, you can instant teleport in survival using an ender stasis chamber. However, It usually is timed on when you press the button to when you teleport.

Not sure if it's gonna be in the video but i'd say an elytra combined with a riptide III trident in the rain. It's of course very specific with the conditions, which is why I don't expect it to be mentioned in the video, but at the fastest moment you can elevate yourself by tens of blocks per second. It's also able to accelerate the player horizontally so fast that most servers will remove the players momentum.

technically tnt cannons are a thing in survival, make a creeper farm and a witch farm, or only a witch farm since you dont need that much gunpowder

If it comes to minecart elevators, keep in mind you have +1 reach in creative mode. In survival, the minecarts have to be 1 block closer to each other (every 4th block), so its a bit more difficult

One more thing about bubble columns with soul sand if you put scaffolding at the top of the soul fan bubble column can you stop immediately once you reach the top.

someone on Reddit made the highest walkable staircase with a length of 1 block. as the forward walking speed is always the same, this would be real quick for gaining height.

You can combine the soul sand water elevator with the riptide trident plus ender pearl (the soul sand bubbles do affect the ender pearl too)

on water streams you can go up and down faster on 1.13+ if you sorround the stream with pillars of blocks then look up and sprint-swim while holding space, works for going downwards too but you have to look down sprint-swim and crouch

That question is easy: tame two horses, splash a swiftness potion on both of them, and then right before the effects wear off, breed the two horses, and then put a saddle on it, and then you have the fastest way to go up (Side note: to go up even faster, stack 7 cakes, (make sure each cake has one slice missing more than the one below it) and then have the horse move up the cakes)

If you have autojump active, you can fuckin' _zoom_ up stairs. It's a weirdly efficient way of getting around.

Using Riptide III out of extremely shallow water at a roughly 45 degree angle and activating the Elytra as soon as you can gets you insane height, about 140 blocks at the apex of the flight.

Sadly only of minecrafters will remember, but if you put a shitload of entities into one block space, and fall into it it'll launch you f*ckin miles

I remember the days I would make chicken canons like that where I would collect the eggs, use a dispenser to throw the eggs for more chickens to cram the entities, causing some chickens to be launched out of the device at hilarious speeds.

Spam spawn fireballs at a position, then look down, then jump and click on the fireball at the same time. BAM, fastest way to go up! You're either too high or too fast.

i used to use minecart elevators to make my builds nostalgic now i know that all that iron I pump into them is making my ladders as efficient as possible

3:30 I tried it and it actually worked, the downside is you'll achieve breaking your legs faster than actually getting upstairs.
