As for the tattoos, his real ones are the moon sequence on his back and the nevermind on his chest, the writing over his body is actually a German poem by Rainer Maria Rilke. Rilke extensively engaged with metaphors, metonymy and contradictions in his poetry and prose to convey disbelief and a crisis of faith. I was really amazed upon seeing it since German literature is my major. This is the translation: I live my life in widening circles that reach out across the world. I may not complete this last one but I will give myself to it. I circle around God, around the primordial tower. I’ve been circling for thousands of years and I still don’t know: am I a falcon, a storm, or a great song? This really goes well with what Jimin said the album is about, “I tried looking deep within myself and being as honest as possible with this album.” This was such a statement song, and the reborn version of Jimin at the, it really got me all fired up for his album next Friday, like what kind of sound and colour are we gonna get from him now that he has been set free.
