"Travel with Gary and Amika"
Welcome to the Official Travel with Gary and Amika KZfaq Channel, a father daughter combo capturing campervan style travel vlogs in and around the mountains, beaches, campsites and wild camping fully off grid.
Gary is dedicated to his daughters future and enjoys documenting her passion for life, which is apparent through Amikas constant giggling and smiles. He is well travelled having visited some 39 countries, however this quickly became difficult to continue when Amika was born. With his love for travel he wasnt going to let being a single father tie him down. When Amika was just 5 they jumped on a plane and backpacked around Romania and have since visited France and Spain twice exploring the Pyrenees mountain range.
In January 2022 Gary bought on old builders van and converted into a fully off grid tiny home on wheels with the aim of getting out and about as much as possible to see more of the world. KZfaq seemed the perfect way to documented these travels and to take a step into the world of becoming a digital nomad.
Gary and Amika both thank you for being here and hope that through their videos they can bring you a sense of adventure, a lots of laughter and with a clear message that you should never grow up and never take life too seriously!

Amika where was your Yorkie bar when you was driving, on a long journey you can take over from dad. Has corgi retired, I was amazed at how much it costs to get in the castle alright I may pay more for my English Heritage & National trust memberships but at least I can visit as many properties as I like in the year. As stated before it is great to see a polite and well behaved child these days Amika does you proud, if we ever meet up tell her I owe her either an ice cream or if we are near a Hotel Chocolat shop a large bar of chocolate (I know where the factory shop is) her manners and not acting like a spoilt brat is gradually converting a grumpy old timer who doesn't like children into just a grumpy old timer

Ill definitely do van love fest next year providing VW dont get delayed with the van. Its so close to us it'd be silly not to. Getting a Caddy maxi life and am planning to buy a boot jump so we've got a 7 seater family car and a microcamper. Just wish it wasn't a 10-12 month wait. I love skipton amika would adore yarndale - they yarn bomb the whole town pretty much and it looks amazing. Bizzie lizzies fish and chips are the best! Tell Amika that caedmon says hi. Shes certainly got an admirer even if he never spoke to her 😂

Zen, Zoo, Zit, I used to go to Elvington with Mclaren when we were doing High Speed Straight line testing.... And Skipton is where we meet my Brother who comes from Kendal to have Lunch at a Lovely restaurant called "Le Bistro" just off the main street... There is also a good Farm shop just off the By-pass.... :-))

I like the idea of the festivals, it seems comfortable like a military gathering, can talk to anyone, immediately got something in common, all in it together, friends before you ever meet kinda vibes…. Need to give one a try dont we. Amika is becoming such a pro 😂 the kid cracks me up ❤

Ah thanks, she's getting better and will no doubt be a natural as she grows up. That editing was so much fun, I used to write dance tracks and it reminded me of that. Enjoyed seeing VanLoveFest from your viewpoint, ours was quite similar although we arrived knowing no-one and left knowing loads. Man van was at 4:35-4:50 and 8:00, but that's cos I was three vans from you towards the centre. :-) Was nice to meet you in person, thanks for coming over when I said hi

Van shows are absolutely brilliant for meeting new people. Everyone I know with vans are either from a van show, instagram oh and here of course. There is always a minority but we leave them to it and wish them well. Thanks for calling me over. Hopefully next time we will have a bit more time to catch up and natter. Any other shows planned?

What a fun event to attend. They seem to have it very organized with plenty of space for everyone. It seems to me that Amika has grown a lot. So glad she is not shy and going on stage to sing was very brave of her. I hope you like the new van and that things are working okay. Looking forward to what comes next.

I bet Amika loved 'driving' the van. I did that with one of the dogs once. Pushed my seat right back and reclined it so I was hidden behind the pillar and tinted back windows. Then I drove round a carpark with him on my knee and his paws on the wheel. Got some right funny looks! 😀

@@TravelwithGaryandAmika we’re good thank you - seemed to fly over at vanlove (pardon the pun 😀) Ref shows, currently we have planned to go to Rob & Lynn’s charity meet in July, Lincoln campervan & motorhome Show in September for a poke about and then Whitby for the Halloween/Goth weekend in October. Also at a small one in Durham next weekend. Might end up going to some others but that’s the plan at the moment all be it this year seems to be more dynamic and keep changing plans 😀 how about you guys?
