CHICKEN STEW:
INGREDIENTS
1 Rotisserie Chicken (finely shredded)
3 cans evaporated milk
4 cups milk
1 onion, diced
1 can cream of chicken soup (or 1/2 can)
2 chicken boullion cubes
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp salt
1 tbsp pepper
dash of paprika
DIRECTIONS
Make sure your chicken is shredded as small as you can get it! Heat a large pot to med-high and melt butter. Saute onion in the pot until translucent and tender. Add 3 cans evaporated milk, 4 cups of milk and 2 chicken boullion cubes. Let all these ingredients simmer on low for 20 minutes stirring every couple of minutes. Add chicken and seasonings. Continue to let the stew simmer for 10 minutes. Then add in cream of chicken soup (1/2 or whole can). Stir, cover and let simmer for 10 minutes on med-low heat. Serve and enjoy! We add a few dashes of hot sauce and some crushed crackers to ours.

I know that some people are afraid to use store brand product, I always do and they have never been bad. I love that you use Walmart brand for most everything you need and you have “thumbs up” for your family. Good for you! 😃

One of my favorite things I like about watching your videos is you clean as you go and you gather all of your ingredients before you start cooking. I have been cooking for a long time and gotten to where I hate to cook weekly meals that use too many pots and pans and dishes. I love it when I’m finished cooking the meal and the kitchen is almost clean.

I like the way you have everything prepped and measured before you start cooking. Very professional! I don't need to watch cooks struggle to chop and run around their kitchen looking for ingredients or tools. Once again, you are the best in the collab. Good recipes again this week. I have never put ground beef in my baked beans, but it looks good. I divide my bacon. Part of it is cooked and stirred into the beans, and the rest is cooked part way and put on top. That way a bit of bacon drippings will add to the yumminess as it finishes cooking.

Great video! Will definitely be trying some of these recipes next week. I think it's funny here in Louisiana you mention chicken stew, it's made with a thick dark roux gravy and served with rice. I love cooking terms how it varies throughout different parts of the country. Also if your wanting just a quicker sloppy Jo's that takes about 10 minutes to pull together get a pack of the McCormick Sloppy Jo seasoning and follow the back of the packet. I always add 2 teaspoons of Tabasco to it.

Freezes very well I’d make these all the time I go to dollar tree and buy the round containers because I don’t have any little square one and I put everything edit top of the cheese topped it with the pepperonis put the lid on and put it in the freezer when I go to take it I just put it in the refrigerator and it’s all out take the lid off and pop it right in the oven and there’s two servings in each container it is so so good

Here’s a tip you might like. I watch QVC a LOT -Lol- and the kitchenaid woman always uses a mixer to shred her chicken to make quick work of it. You may want to try this.

Also one other suggestion, whenever I have one of those gravy or sauce jars or even a can. In place of water to help get the last bits out - Depending on the recipe - try a veggie, chicken, beef broth or even some white or red wine - It adds flavor Well helping you get those last bits! We're not talking a lot just the same amount you would add if you were trying to use the water. Or a little less.

Yep! I love to watch your husband and listen to his comments. I made the Crockpot Ranch Pork Chops that you had on your video last week. They were really good and tender. Next time I would not put any water in with the chops. I used only haft a can and the gravy wasn't as thick as I like.

New viewer in Texas. I have a food chopper similar to yours...how did I ever live 75 years without it. I keep containers of chopped onion, bell pepper and celery in my freezer...ready to use whenever I need them. Enjoyed the video very much.

Your husband cracks me up and makes me hungry!! The chicken stew I will definitely have to try!! We make our own sloppy joes pretty similar to that and we’ve made the pasta pizza too and love it. We do a loaded baked beans similar to what you did but not as much hamburger and we use half pound of sausage and chop up smoked sausage. Our favorite way is putting in the smoker when we smoke pork and let the pork dripping go in the beans.. oh my!!

I found out about your channel through the collab. I’m so glad I did! I used to live in Duncan, SC and my coworker used to make chicken stew (never heard of it til I moved to SC!) I lost her recipe and I’m thrilled I found yours! Thanks for sharing! ~Andrea

Definitely want to make those beans. Yum! The Pioneer Woman sloppy joes are our favorite. Once I tried her recipe I won’t eat sloppy joes any other way. So flavorful!

I love it when your husband comments on the meals u prepare bcuz u can tell his reaction is genuine and he appreciates your cooking those are the type of comments that will definitely keep u in the kitchen lol btw i made the no bake jello cheesecake u posted a few videos back and my son isnt a big cheesecake fan but he definitely loved that he ate half of the pie through out the week by himself so its safe to say i will make that again lol
