**OUR MOST ASKED QUESTION ANSWERED**
Q: Does Steven ever not like anything? 😂
A: Of course!! First of all, we have been married for 19 years and I was not always good in the kitchen. In fact, I was a pretty terrible cook for the first 12 years or so. So there were plenty of times when neither of us liked what I made. But I've gotten better at picking out meals that I'm pretty sure we will enjoy. I don't just go pick a recipe and cook it. I read through it and research different variations before I deem it a good one to try.
Secondly, if we were to not like something I would NOT show it here. Solely because I want to share only recipes that we would recommend. I don't want to waste your time, or my time (editing) on a recipe we would never tell anyone else to try. We've only had that happen once - and I got rid of the footage we had filmed (which was so sad because we took time to film it).
I hope that answers that question! Remember also that we only film 3 meals a week. The rest of the time we have our family favs or go out to dinner.

I usually boil chicken leg quarter before adding them to the grill I boil them first maybe 10 minutes of a full boil then take them out to dry then season and marinate marinate and its wonderful I do the same for. Ribs ..

That kitchen toolyou used to shred the chicken in your Crock-Pot I would have never thought to use it to shred the chicken that is that just blew my mind.I always use it to break up my ground beef what would have never thought to do chicken with it that just made my day thank you so much for sharing your recipes. Dude! I made the pork carnitas for supper tonight and they were AMAZING! The whole family inhaled them. Searing the meat in the skillet after slow cooking it is huge. It makes the pork melt in your mouth. We didn’t even add much because we didn’t want to cover the pork and rub flavor. Just a splash of lime and sour cream. Definitely a keeper recipe. Thank you SO much!

After adding the cornstarch Mandy, the crock pot should be on high. It takes a higher heat to get it to thicken more. Everything looked great. Thanks for sharing.

You may want to add a little sour cream or lemon juice if you sub out the cream cheese, just so you still get the acidic tang. Oh! You just said you added a dollop!! You're a step ahead of me! 😉❤️

OMG! I can't wait to try these recipes! I use my crock pot once a week as part of my meal planning. I am a fairly new subscriber...maybe a month or so and this is the first time I've seen you use your chopper for carrots and celery. I am considering adding that to my kitchen arsenal. I love it when Cole's thumbs up appears! I have 4 kids and they have strong opinions about what they like or don't like! If Cole likes it then I really know I have to try that one! Thanks Mandy!

Haha, yes, Cole doesn't want to be on camera lately but doesn't mind throwing his thumb in there every now and then. :) The veggie chopper is such a time saver and goes in the dishwasher. It's a handy device!

I make the same white chicken chili and instead of cream cheese to thicken I add sour cream with the heavy cream as well as pepper jack cheese I can’t wait to make the recipes in this episode - love crockpot meals!

Great "What's For Dinner," Mandy! We love carnitas tacos in our house. We use the same recipe! I know you like to serve your meals restaurant style, but it is also fun with these to put everything on the table and let everyone build their own tacos. I swear by my crock pot, it’s so so easy! The gnocchi soup looked amazing I can’t wait to try that out, I made some bbq pulled pork tonight and it’s fool proof and so good, but I really wanna try broiling it what a great idea ❤️

All of the seasonings and be orange juice is called a mojo. A type of a Mexican marinade for pork and it is absolutely delicious! The citric acid in the oranges also tenderizes the pork beautifully. It is also delicious with just a pork tenderloin that is going in the oven. Make a few slashes and marinate and then roast you will be very surprised.

I love your recipes that you try... I also love how your husband gets so happy with the food you cook !!!! He looks 10 years younger with the beard gone but men do look very distinguished with a well kept beard. Lol... guess its like us when we change our hair color !

Mandy, everything looked delicious. I've never tried gnocchi, but I might give it a try now that I have seen the soup and heard Steven say it reminded him of dumplings. I love dumplings! :) Now you have me wishing for some of your yummy food.

I have found that if you happen to run out of corn starch and you need a thickener, just mush some of the beans..I have done that in the past with other soups and it works out pretty well.
