At this point I wish games would go through a full development and only have a trailer once it’s complete with a set release date. I know that’s unrealistic but it’s better than waiting seemingly forever just for it to be cancelled or highly disappointing.

Sounds like they're aiming for a Mass Effect style world, but in the Star Wars universe. Don't get me wrong, that sounds incredible. But perhaps a bit ambitious considering their previous limitations. 😅 Hope they're able to pull it off!

Detroit Become Human was really nice. The ending you highlighted is one very specific pathway with variations within it too. I found that the most interesting version of the game is when you make all the “bad” or chaotic decisions

This is literally the first time I’ve ever heard of this Star Wars game, judging by the cinematics I’m sure it’s an ambitious title, but with the cancellation of KOTR and the long cancelled Star Wars 1313, I’m very skeptical of a big innovative Star Wars game actually releasing. Studios and Disney seem to favor smaller and easier games to develop like LEGO Star Wars or a game like Jedi Outcast once in a while. But for a big innovative Star Wars game they always seem to their wings clipped before they’re able to wow anyone, and unless Disney CEOs are impressed they’ll just pull the plug on anything.

My excitement for upcoming Star Wars games were dashed by the reveal for Star Wars Outlaws. When I saw it was being made in the Snow Drop engine, I (falsely) had visions of a Star Wars themed Division game, only grander in scale and locals. Seeing the gameplay reveal last year made it clear it'll be more of just a standard 3rd person action/adventure game. I'm typically not the biggest fan of looter shooters, but I really enjoyed The Division games, and that style could have worked really well with a Star Wars game that was centered not around Jedi's, but around a smuggler. Especially from a narrative standpoint, a smuggler would have worked in a looter shooter context as they're always looking for the next biggest score, valuable items, etc. But the apparent lack of creating your own character coupled with looking very much like a standard action/adventure game dashed those hopes pretty quick.

Maybe just do a Star Wars Eclipse animated movie, then come out with Battlefront 3 and encompass all eras within that game including the High Republic! 🤯

I still think this has the potential to be the best Star Wars game yet. I say let them cook and take their time. They never let me down before

Don't know why Luke keeps using that singing scene as an example of Quantic Dream not being able to have many characters on screen when there's multiple other parts of that game with way more people on screen

Quantic Dreams is one of the best game studios behind Rockstar. you know they craft masterpieces. this is my most anticipated game, moreso than GTA 6

Heavy Rain had a development time of literally 3 MONTHS. Detroit: Become Human had a much more expansive story experience, which took them 4 YEARS of development. Assuming they had a year or two before the announcement i’d bet 2025 like GTA VI

I swear I remember multiple scenes in Detroit with waaaay more NPCs than that. The part where you're in the city as markus freeing androids has to have at least a hundred NPCs in it

Hope this game comes out. Having the same team that did Detroit make a Star Wars game would be interesting, though the delays make me skeptical of how competent the people running this studio are. And I will admit the High Republic era never really interested me. Still though, this game could be really cool.

And many years from now when our kids kids are looking in the past they may say we are guilty of something so it’s never good to cancel. These SW games were spontaneously announced in a vacuum just to prematurely celebrate their freedom from the EA Exclusive publishing monopoly deal. The problem is half if not most of the games announced didn’t even exist & was green lit on the spot. Even though Lucasfilm didn’t even properly finish negotiating with said collaborated studios & definitely didn’t make absolutely sure that all of their T’s were Dotted & Eyes were Crossed long before making any official public announcements to say that these games exist & will be released. Only for half of those game projects to be cancelled & or completely rebooted from the ground up with a completely different more realistically capable game studios. Disney should’ve just kept their big fat mouths shut & just stuck with the main announcement of being permanently free from EA Exclusively Deal since it was way more than enough to just get people interested in SW Games again. Because in reality it’s going to take at least half a decade or so to really get the ball rolling on mass releasing multiple SW Games a year. They didn’t have to make up fake projects on the spot to gain public interest, if anything it achieved the opposite & lost Disney a lot of potential customers. TL;DR: Their premature splurge of SW Game announcement’s was a complete unrealistic logistical & PR disaster.

Were you talking about the company that is making this game or was that a blanket statement that there is no game currently that you can do that in? Either way there are a few that you can currently do that in No man sky, Star Citizen, (soon Squadron 42) and many more. I can only assume that you mean this company but what is to say they are not working with other studios in collaboration that have not been announced yet to complete Star Wars Eclipse.

This game sounds too ambitious to ever become a reality. My guess is that it will either get cancelled, suffer huge cuts of content/story/features before release, or get released as a rushed and buggy mess. The guys at Quantic Dream are talented, without question, but so are the devs at CD Projekt RED. Cyberpunk taught me to be wary of "mega-huge epic games" like this Star Wars Eclipse is promised to be.

Star Wars Eclipse The game is set in the High Republic era, with Yoda and Jedi... it looks so good, the planets and the spacecraft look epic. I love that there is no emphasis on a single Feminazi human, but instead they showcase such diversity of settings and lifeforms. The star fighters flying in formation/ attacking the Trade Federation Lucrehulk... the two jedi in the snow/on the bridge, the large invasive armies (Antagonists) , amazing ... I really just want a proper SW RPG with branching narrative, good combat (Blaster and lightsaber), dogfights in starfighters & speeders, massive land battles to partake in , a good story with compelling characters and absolutely NO propaganda of the repulsive woke feminazi cult PLEASE!!! The cinematic trailer looks insane, so good, differing diverse PLANETS, and ALIEN life forms everywhere, not just a human feminazi like in ''Outlaws.'' ... watching the trailer I became quite excited ... until I heard that it is being made by the same studio as ''Detroit become human'' and the excrement that is ''Dustborn''.... I immediately lost a lot of interest. What gives me some hope, is the fact that the devs from ''Eidos'' will be working on it as well, ''Eidos'' that pared with ''Looking Glass studios'' created the best game series ever; ''Thief : The Dark Project, the Metal Age & Deadly Shadows''. (Please may we have something good... please) I am cautiously optimistic... but until the IP is out of the clutches of the revolting woke feminazi cult in Disney, ''Not Star Wars'' does not interest me. There are only 6 SW films + Rogue One ,Andor, & Mando S1+S2.

Detroit is a good game but there are more than 3 cringe worthy scenes in that game. Alot of it are very cringe worthy. I think the reason why alot of people "hate" David Cage games is because he wrote alot of things that he think Americans think is heart warming but in reality he made it all cringe worthy. He is a french dude who assumed that Americans think alike so he wrote alot of bad plots and characters that tend to offend people. I mean play Beyond two Souls and you will know what Im talking about. It is the most offensive cringe worthy game I have ever played. That basicly define David Cages game and pretty much gamers did a turn around on him.
