I used I make custom sheet metal intakes for the 2v and 4v engines.. back in early 2000s I would use the top as a pattern on a a piece of cardboard... then make the top out of cardboard until you get what your looking for... put it on your engine and mock it all up to match your tubing ..then get it all cut out of aluminum.

I think you're absolutely right on the intake . I actually thing I've seen that intake in one of my old mustang magazines . I have boxes of them . I've seen that intake in action with a customer top work very well 10 or 15 years ago . Keep them coming .

I used to make 1 1/2 spacer for the RR intakes. Our 2v used to make peak power at 8200, shift at 8500. There are a few other mods we did that helped intake a great deal

that intake, done the way you want with a good sheetmetal top hat will net you 50 hp i bet. dont sound like much, but a smoother afr and better cylinder distibution plus shorter intake runner is gonna be great under boost. good luck andrew.

Check out wildrides 2.0 coilover kit. They seem to offer room for stock fuel tanks so it may give you extra space under there.

My brother just picked up two 4.6v engines and matching transmissions. one of the transmissions has a tag that seems to be from a cobra. Hopefully the engine has a forged crank.

It's going to be an interesting experiment for sure. Just looking at the video, the hard nearly 90 degree turn down into the intake port seems like it would kill power. If this intake had a more vertical runner like a high dollar Logan I think it would be less if a loss making the transition into the port. At any rate, hope it works out for you.

They had two versions on the top of the Reich planum due to that same thing you was talking about before they went broke. (The planum was raised in the front by an 1" or so... But, didn't save their company. Let me know when your going to sell the top end.

You should have just built a cross ram dual plenum intake. My 327 c.i. all aluminum 2v build is getting such an intake. 13.5 to 1 comp ratio e85 195tf2v heads.... Etc... Cammer/tr50 road race block

DUMB question . Do you think the 6.2 truck head can be retro fitted to a 4.6 . Those head can flow as high 400+ cfm I do know the 4.6 stock computer will work on the 6.2 motor deleting the extra spark plugs . Seen it done and some have posted results on Google.
