What's the Cost for a New Interior in a Piper Arrow airplane

So how much did it cost for me to put a new interior in this Piper Arrow airplane? This video goes over the cost of all the major replacement items for the new interior, including new carpet, headliner, side panels, new seats, windows, and soundproofing insulation. I'll tell you where I bought everything and what I think of the results.

Wow! she's grown to be a sharp looking bird. Just waiting for the Superbowl hype to go by before the game and thought I would check in on some channels I followed. When did you do the new paint and prop? Did you track your hours on the job? Were you thinking of doing panel work? There's some really good shops out there.

I bought this about 2 years ago. The paint was done in 1997 according to the logs

Great project, you take the time to make sure everything looks professional and you really have pride in your work. My question is, with the new thicker windows and soundproofing/insulation was there a noticeable difference at all with cabin noise?

Thanks very much for the kind words! Sadly, I didn't take a good dB measurement before the install, so I can't say with any certainty. I have to think it made a difference (esp the soundproofing). There is a very noticeable difference when tapping on areas on the aircraft skin before the installation vs. after. Also, others online have commented on a measured difference after they installed the same.

Just bought my own little piper 140. Just flying it for a while before i do something like this but i am excited to do it and i really enjoy these videos. Thank you for the knowledge. There isn’t enough of this kind of aircraft video and i really appreciate it

Nice job on the video. I gave it a like. The view looking back is really cool… like you have a drone next to you. I saw someone use a 360 on a stick like that on a high wing. Wasn’t sure it would work on a low wing, but definitely does. Plane looks great! And a nice landing.

Normally in aviation, everything is stupid expensive. But watching this breakdown, the individual costs are pretty close to automotive products. I'm surprised!

@BlueSkyFlight yeah, on a Jimmy's World video, he showed how a small bolt with a hole on it for the safety wire was $85 or something like that while the same sized bolt from general hardware was a dollar at most.

Oh I know how crazy expensive aviation stuff is… just surprised that the interior stuff is not much more expensive than automotive…

Are you keeping the Arrow? I have N15665, did much the same just with AirTex top line fabric seats. I had most of my trim fail upon removal and 1973 Arrows are different from 1974 and newer. I have missing trim.

Keeping it for a while… at least until I’m done building something I think. That’s pretty cool that our are so closely related in their build time. Yeah that plastic trim is delicate after 50 years. Got a few that I’ll probably replace but they mostly survived. Live to see what you did, feel free to email. Thanks for watching!

How do you remove the door plastic. I have a Piper archer and need to replace the door plastic which is similar to your Arrow.

If you’re talking about the plastic trim around the top half if the door, you have to remove the screws and the latch cover at the top and then should be just the trim screws around the perimeter.

Interior, no. Side windows, no. If it’s the front window then yes. The side windows are covered under owner maintenance.
