Yeah this is mainly because they are the end product of The Grand Plan 1000 years in the making. They were fortunate enough to come in with a millennium of wealth and connections already established, as well as fortunate to be a Munn (Plagues) and of Naboo Nobility (Sidious) so they had even more wealth and status in the galactic community. So of course their life will be far more luxurious and in a position to actually execute the Grand Plan.

Hugess Nom was a space craft designer, Damask was a financial Tycoon, Palpatine was Emperor and Vader had an actual planet for his musing.

I love this about them, its in their nature to just fight with eachother. 10 Sith could cooperate but all it takes is 1 of those 10 Sith to decide he's more powerful than the rest and start an internal fued that inevitably leaves the strongest among them alive and the rest either dead or as obedient acolytes.

One interesting theory on the rule of two is that every generation of Sith gained more power as the Rule of two continued. Put simply, after defeating the master, the power, strength and knowledge transfers to the apprentice. Therefore making each generation stronger and stronger. Until a thousand years later you get a nearly unkillable palpatine that even Yoda didn't hold a candle to and could never beat. Only Luke had a chance being the son of the chosen one.

However as the fight goes on Yoda realizes that he, the greatest of the Jedi, the "avatar of light" simply wasn't strong enough. He realizes that the sith had changed and had been preparing a thousand years for this very moment. Yoda understands that because of that, he has already lost. That he had lost before he was even born. The sith plan was perfect and that if he continued to fight he'd eventually lose and if he died the galaxy would be forever lost to the sith. The Force imparted to him that he had a greater mission to fulfil. Listen to the revenge of the sith audiobook scene of Yoda vs sidious and you'll understand. It's better than the movie and more accurate.

I just headcanon that there are multiple pairs of Sith scattered around the galaxy at any given time, but each team of two only ever relies on each other to maintain secrecy.

They also forced every force sensitive in the empire to enter this training, or die if they were too weak. You couldn't opt out. I imagine that by the time they even let anyone into the academy on Korriban, they've already executed a decent chunk. There are many missions in that game where you're either tasked with exterminating low-level force sensitives the republic is hiding, or, on the flipside, rescuing them from the empire.

I hate it when people claim that the Jedi were worse. They are not. The Sith didn't altruistically limit their numbers to avoid death and carnage. They did it in a feeble attempt to consolidate power greedily away from those they deemed unworthy. Also the victims of the thought bomb had a torturous existence after it went off.

So jedi have an army of powerful space wizards, and sith only have 2?

The Jedi of Revenge of the Sith were way out of sync with what it meant to be a Jedi. They became complacent and arrogant, like anyone in an age of peace before an age of decline. In my opinion, they were not true Jedi, and nature always finds a way to restore balance. In Star Wars, the spiritual and natural consciousness is the force, so the force balanced itself out by wiping 99% of them from existence, and although it led to an age of despair in the galaxy, it was absolutely necessary to restore balance in the force.

It didn’t kill the Starweird but temporarily got stuck in its body suggesting it is actually a corporeal being and not just some evil ghost like in legends but that is just my theory on legends va Canon starweirds I may do a video about it or something I just hope that comic isn’t its last canon appearance because those things are awesome asf

It's a conspiracy to drive more of us to the dark side.

Neither the Jedi nor the Sith make sense. Lucas made non sensical rules for both that in practice could never work. This is a central problem for Star Wars. In effect both Sith and Jedi have to be somewhat gray. If they're not, then they're not interesting in any story. All Jedi use emotions like fear, anger, and hatred at some point. This is clear when watching movies or the TV shows. Emotions are not evil or good... they just are. What we do with them could be evil or good. Sith like Sidious who is hiding as Supreme Chancellor have more than just negative emotions. If they didn't then they would not function. If Jedi do not feel a full range of emotions and Sith don't feel a full range of emotions, then both will be emotionally inept and nowhere near what they are shown on screen. Sidious is able to be completely in control and calm, cool, and collected. He has a better Jedi "calm" than most Jedi do and he has to hide perfectly. The lore says they should be rabid animals with little restraint. For example, Yoda says fear leads to anger, anger leads to hatred, hatred leads to suffering. The path of the darkside this is. HOWEVER, this makes no sense. Some people are angry without fear, some people are greedy without fear or anger, etc, etc, etc. Someone could be a psychopath and use telekinesis to brutally torture people but keep their Jedi calm. Perhaps all they get out of it is a mild delight while playing classical music. They are on the "lightside" and aren't tapping the darkside at all. Someone else could be very afraid of losing fellow soldiers but go bravely stand up to a Sith Lord. They could even get angry in the fight but hold true to the ideals of goodness. They could even try to redeem the Sith while risking their life. Another example is Jacen Solo's fall to the darkside (which makes no sense). He was by far the most empathetic of the young Jedi Knights and even after a year of brutal torture he repeatedly risked his life to save the galaxy and had enough compassion to stop a genocide of the Vong and bring peace. HOWEVER, because he did not believe in the stupid Lucas concept of the force (that makes no sense as stated above) they had him fall to the darkside and he randomly changed personalities for "reasons" after coming back from a five-year journey. He was a psychopath when he returned. Did he kill anyone on that five-year journey? NOPE. Hurt anyone? NOPE. But his personality did a 180. Behind the scenes. Terrible writing. Luke in a rage executed Lumiya for a crime she did not even commit, and he does not fall to the darkside. Per the rules Luke should have fallen 100 times to the darkside in legends. The Emperor in RotJ says "I am unarmed use your anger and strike me down to complete your path to the darkside." MANY times this is forgotten, and Lucas later sets up a structure where you can be damned to the darkside without ever hurting anyone. MY RULES (how it should be): 1) The Lightside should be good and the darksde evil. If a force user does evil they should slide towards the darkside. Too much evil and they sell their soul that will be hard to redeem. A Jedi calmly slaughtering innocents won't fall to the darkside under current rules. Jedi get away with doing quite a bit of evil. "Light" just means nice or no emotions and not "good." 2) Temperance of the force. The force is raw power and using it should be addictive (worse than the hardest drug). Jedi should work hard to temper use and only use as much as needed (not be power hungry) while Sith should give into power. Sith suck power away from nature while Jedi seek to preserve that power. Giving into power should corrupt their soul and cause them to do evil and vice versa. This is a concept explored in Legends book like Zahn's Hand of Thrawn Duology where Mara Jade convinces Luke to tone his use of the force down because others that used the force as much as him fell to the darkside (he was going insane with it). However, this is forgotten in late EU where Luke goes off the rails with extreme force abilities and the same with Rey and others in Disney canon. Sith should be force addicts with no morality. Jedi should be force restrained with morality. Sith consume and Jedi protect. Sith are more about raw use of the force and Jedi more about listening to the force. 3) No one should be damned for having feelings. HOWEVER, fear of loss or focusing on something can cause visions and mess with the focus to use the force correctly. Both Jedi AND Sith should have a strong focus to use the force. Too much anger, rage, fear, etc should cause both of them problems. Sith are just evil. Anakin would still be driven a bit crazy because of his extreme worry about his wife and mother (his focused fear about them while sleeping leads to visions of them dying or whatnot tormenting him). The fear and anger are NOT evil in and of themselves. Lucas also says the darkside is fear, anger, ect and suggesting it is in the mind of the person (The Unified Force), but then other stuff he says suggests the force is split entirely into two distinct parts. Lucas is incoherent with how he set it all up. Listening to him talk sometimes sounds like listening to a crazy person. Zahn and other writers from the 1990s came up with a better philosophy than Lucas. The OT was too simple to notice inconsistencies.

@@dutchrjen Abeloth or some other dark side entity gains enough influence over force users when they fall to the dark side that they become puppets without realizing it, and most of the "power" that the dark side gives actually comes from the entity controlling the user like a puppet master, while giving into one's own passion is just a way to mold the Sith's will toward that of the entity. The Jedi are aware of this and try to abstain from passions as a way to shield themselves from the entity. The majority of the Sith deny this aspect of the dark side while their inner circle embraces it as a form of ascendance. There, I just fixed everything in a few sentences.
