I discovered Bulbils a few years ago, and recently discovered that this Bulbils don't all grow like you showed in this video. Mostly the normal Orange Tiger Lillies will grow Bulbils between the Stem & Leaf. I Love the Deep Yellow ones better, and the Bulbils on them are a Reddish color and grow in different locations than your typical leaf stem area. I had one that had the top chewed off, and the Reddish Bulbils starting growing on the top of the plant. I bought a bag of 36 different colored Tiger Lillies. There was Pinkish Ones, Purpurlish ones, Redish Ones and The Yellowish Ones. and ONE RARE ONE where the plant looked like a Tiger Lily , but with 1 Flower. That 1 Flower was a Dark Scarlet Color, But Almost Black. The Flower never turned backwards, but stayed straight out like a Asiatic Lily. Some of these Rare Types are said to grow the Bulbils off from around the Main Bulb. I will be checking for that later this Fall. My Yellow Tiger Lillies are starting to shoot out some Reddish Bulbils in a couple different locations, and are much Larger in Bloom the my separate Orange Tiger Lillies. All my newest Tiger Lily Bulbils I find Will go into my extra Rectangular Flower Pots And Placed In my Garden Shed for the Winter. And it really doesn't matter how the Bulbils are placed in the soil as long as you cover them with the soil and wet them. I don't use sandy soil, as all my soil is from Compose. Everything works wonders. The best way to plant them is use a Fat Pencil and press it in the soil anywhere from a half inch or so. Drop a Bulbil in each hole, cover them up, and then use a small chunk of 2x4 and tap lightly on the soil and smooth things out. When Spring time comes that Flower Pot will come to Life.

Your squash makes me drool! I didn’t get a single meal from mine before the bugs got them. My garden is gone except for some struggling peppers and cucumbers. It’s been a very disheartening year for my garden. Because of my work schedule there are days that go by that I don’t even see it in daylight and the heat stops me when I am home and have a little time to tend to it. Huge hopes for Fall though! Sorry to hear about your brother-in-law. I work in healthcare and we are seeing the numbers climbing every day. I encourage everyone to keep their guards up and be safe. It ain’t over yet but God willing we will beat this thing.

Everything looks really good. This has been the most challenging year for gardening. Y’all have done well. Oh we put our elderberries by our birdbath which gets lots of water which they love. Now this sun we are getting lately is seering so your plant looks good considering. Mine haven’t set up yet so I think our area will see them later on if the birds don’t have a feast. Prayers for your family member that he heals up fast. Thanks for the update😌

Everything is looking great! The tiger lilies making those seed pods is interesting. I have no idea how to say that word either, I read it as bubble” . 🤣 I can’t wait to see how long it takes them to grow for you. I am super impressed with your squash. I keep losing mine to the vine borers. I put my last attempts for this year in the ground this morning. I’m trying the foil around the stem method this time. I think it’s just going to bake the plant in our heat but it beats just feeding it to another bug! Bear is an excellent KZfaq assistant! She was making sure you showed how green the grass looks after all the rain we got last weekend. 😁 Thanks for sharing about how your little baby plants are growing and what you are starting next. That’s been super helpful to me. This is the first year I have ever tried to grow broccoli and it’s great to follow along in real time so I can make sure mine are looking ok. I will be praying for your brother in law’s healing to be complete and for the rest of the family to all stay well!

One thing you must know about Tiger Lillies. They strive on the cold winters up North. I sent some Bulbils to the Philippines and they never grew. You want to know why? It never gets cold in the Philippines. I even had them frigerated for a couple months, but the ground was too hot for them to take. They are originally Asian flowers, but not all Asian Countries are Hot like the Philippines. Korea is a cold one in the Winter, and also some places in China and Japan

Your squash looks fantastic Jill! So happy for you and looks like you made the right choice taking the chance to grow in the high tunnel again. Is there any way to preserve cucumbers? I’m thinking probably only freeze drying? Oh my goodness your dog is so cute! Just finished the greenhouse today! So excited I ran out and bought more pots for it!

Aphids are usually a short lived problem. I find them most frequently on 2nd year black raspberry canes weeks after the fruit is picked and the cane is dying off. I never spray because predators quickly knock down their numbers.

Oh wee Bill I wish that was the case with us. They devoured all of our grains two years in a row and much of our crêpe myrtles we finally got them under control by modifying our soil thank the Lord thank you so much for stopping by be blessed happy harvest jail
