Their 3 defenders Van Dijk , Matip and Gomez are injured , thus all Fabinho and Henderson who are midfielders have to be center backs. Due to this , Liverpool have suffered on the defence and midfield, making them super vulnerable. They should have signed 2 center backs on the winter transfer to solve this issue, but instead of that they decided to move players out of their position.
