Lynn, I am not a Kenyan but I can assure you that Steve is right concerning not owning organic seeds. It happened in India some years back. The farmers ran into debt a lot of them committed suicide because The seeds did not eventually yield much as expected hence they couldn't afford the next season seeds, so they are always indebted to seed sellers. It is like toiling for nothing, they couldn't even pay children school fees Is that not a form slavery. GMO foods are not even healthy. The problem is that we Africans don't even do our investigations nor will our leaders fight to protect our graciously beautiful and fertile continent (as long as bribe is involved). They don't care about future generations. In India key figures from some NGOs fought for the farmers and pushed the westerner "lords" out and make it impossible for them to continue the atrocities. An American company even attempted to patent Indian Basmati rice. What an audacious attempt. In 100-150 this people may now occupy the most fertile part of our Continent and control us. I no longer buy seeds from anyone. I usually plant my own seeds which I preserve from the past harvest. I urge you to do the same. Also, I observe Crop Rotation which my Great Grandmother used to do, and I learned from her. I plant sweet potatoes, then Maize, then Beans, then let it lay furrow for a year and then start all over again. I use manure from the cow sheds because I do not practice Zero Grazing at all. The materials I use is Withonia Somnifera and other common weeds to make the composts. I aim at self sufficiency in at least 80% of all the foodstuff I consume with my family.

What Steve Mbogo is saying is the absolute truth. I am a farmer and what he is saying is what is happening in the farms. Tomato seeds are changing every year I don't know commadore this year terminator next funny names. and they are expensive they cost from 9K to 100K. On Maize, you cannot plant maize you have harvested from your own farm the previous season.... our Katumani maize seeds disappeared from our stores long time. These improved Kienyenji chicken are actually not very healthy... I visited my dad last year and found two so called improved Kienyenji which had no single feather in their bodies, they died after two week of their hatching.. there is a lot of wrong things happening in our farming under the watch of our own KARLO research institute. These things are happening under our noses and no one seems to care .Our seeds are GMO,- we ae watching One World Order being implemented and Kenya is a Key player in this regard, but we cant do much, the forces behind this are too strong. This is fulfilment of the bible for the last days.
