My breakfast box for overnight oats!
As someone who struggles to make breakfast every morning, overnight oats are one of the easiest ways for me to get in a satisfying and delicious meal! I’ve tried many overnight oats recipes, but this is one of my favorites.
Overnight oats is typically made in a mason jar, but I often found it difficult to mix the ingredients together, especially when I used my small mason jar. Once I prepared my overnight oats in my snack box, I never looked back! Not only is it portable, but it’s also easier to mix and saves me time in the morning by allowing me to store toppings in the same container but separately from the oats. Snack container listed on my Amazon storefront
Recipe:
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1/4 c plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 3/4-1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup almond milk (or whichever milk you prefer!)
- Cinnamon
Topping:
- Diced apples
- Chopped pecans
- Drizzle of maple syrup

@vivianlaw13
@vivianlaw13 28 күн бұрын
Unless you're making your own, oak milk contains seed oil, at least the ones I've seen and artificial vitamins. fat free yoghurt means they've striped all the good stuff, including the natural enzymes that help with digestion. and they again replace it with sugar which is what makes you fat in the first place. Might want to change up some of the ingredients, everything you eat should help with digestion...

And also a good amount of sugar. Tried this recipe this morning because I've never had overnight oats before and it looked amazing. I tasted the mixing spoon before putting it in the fridge overnight and was looking forward to it so much... but nope, turns out I couldn't stomach the texture. 😂 Thought ok, maybe it's the chia seeds. So I made a bowl of it warm without the chia seeds, tasting as I went. Turns out.... I don't like greek yogurt in my warm oatmeal either 😂 But at least I have a recipe for really tasty warm oats now. I used pumpkin pie spice instead of cinnamon and it tastes like warm apple pie. So good.

One of the reasons I have gum around. I myself am self conscious about my weight which isn’t fun but if you chew gum at least for mean it give you the feeling in your mouth like your eating? Or at least chewing and getting flavor could help if you want to keep from snacking a lot don’t have to though! Just something I do to keep from over snacking :)

No thank you; it's just something about those seeds and the temperature of the oats that aren't appealing to me. Yet, thanks for the suggestion recipe. Perhaps you can share another one that can be enjoyed warm and without those seeds?

"Uncooked, rolled oats that you use in overnight oats contain 8.5 grams of resistant starch. Cooked oatmeal, on the other hand, only contains 0.3 grams of resistant starch. Resistant starch is a type of prebiotic fiber that your body doesn't digest"

I do this...except I make baked oatmeal. I can make a whole pan of it ahead of time and just cut a square when I'm ready to eat it. You can top it with Greek yogurt and/ or chopped fruit and nuts. You can even warm the baked oatmeal up first if you prefer it warm.
