2:54 I can explain it. The guy did not know the map (or brainfarted) and thought he could proxy rax in the center. Look at his minerals, it lines up perfectly to 150 for the rax once he gets to the center. When he realized he couldn't build the rax, he sent his SCV to the cross-map position to scout. It is possible that he was map hacking and sent the early scout to give artosis disinformation about a rush, but I think that's less likely.

I think I understand what his problem is. He thinks Starcraft is a game of chess. In reality about half of the pieces on the board are actually checkers and he gets confused when his opponent jumps a bunch of his pieces and kings his checker.

any map with blue background is made for protoss. Never go uphill any map with water and cliffs is made for terran. Always defend predict the drop any map with big main entrance or wide bridges is for zerg. Never make a line with your units

Take into many considerations why this individual player would want to do that (assuming this player does it on every 4 player map) This 33% chance can be applied to any direction and to Artosis as well. Cross map scouting has many benefits. #1 You may get lucky and spot a building in the middle of the map #2 Knowing if it's cross spawn or not helps you decide which way you want to take your build #3 If you do get that 33% chance, you should already like where the game is at. Most reasonable players wouldn't expect someone to cross spawn scout. Most reasonable players would think to themselves that scout got there pretty damn quick. Just listen to Artosis talk about it. He is either being a huge crybaby and doesn't understand it on purpose for his stream or he is just like that. *EDIT* This dude just sided with my arguments after I continued watching the video after 5:50.

If a Terran scouts Artosis late, he says it's because they're terrible or cheesing. If they scout early, he says they're terrible or cheesing. He thinks this game is supposed to be so cut and dry, black and white to the point of insanity.

I watched Artosis' 1-hour-long TvT today. In the first 10 minutes or so he said angrily "Oh no, he sieged his siege tanks! Now it'll take me an hour to win this!" and was correct. How did he know that? Are you supposed to just unsiege your tanks and let your opponent win?

you know, i used to give arty a lot of crap for really not being good at SC BW. but now that ive thought about it, he never claims to be good...hes just your average A rank terran, nothing more, nothing less. hes too good to sit at 2200 MMR, and barely good enough to slightly pass 2400. good for him being average. his whole "you didnt play the way i wanted you to, so you suck" attitude will always be funny to me.
