I have a thought... you could crochet a couple of flowers that are more adult looking to cover the end of the band... or you could also get some decorative buttons and sew those on. It is a cute little bonnet!

Hi, C.! I'm so glad they arrived safely and I hope you get many years of great use out of them. The last company you mentioned is supposed to be Burnley & Trowbridge, sorry if my writing cursive was hard to read. You had the pronunciation correct for "bodkin," just like it looks! Thank you for another wonderful mystery video, and yes, you nailed it! Love & hugs!

I am very addicted to naalbinding (another spelling; there are several)… I’ve even adapted a crocheted hood pattern into naalbinding! Beware the rabbit hole; the things you can make are endless. I’m currently making a woollen tank-top… That I’ve been working on since the beginning of winter XD

i really like it. general rule of thumb in the felted hat business- the more gaudy the faster it sells. i like the rosettes.... one more thing- is it cheating to fast forward to the end to see the finished product? lol- not that i would ever do that!!!

Cute! I have a friend who has lost a lot of hair due to chemo. I've been making her different fun hats and caps with soft yarn. I think I will make this for her. She is 75 years old and I think she will love it! I hope you are feeling better! I have had you in my prayers. Blessing to you! Thanks for the fun and the idea!!!❤

Lady Gray yarn is sock weight without the nylon for stretch that modern sock yarn has. Sport weight may be a tad on the thick side but the #5 hook will probably work perfect (yes, I'm kibbitzing at the beginning of the video!!). Love you!

To tell if something is celluloid, you can run it under some warm/hot water. If it smells like camphor, it is likely celluloid. Also, celluloid is flammable!

Really cute. I think I will make this. I just did a baby blanket that had picots until I was sick of them, but they used a chain of three and slip into the first chain, They were ugly and I was constantly trying to make them look better. I noticed you went into the base. I’m an amigurumi crocheter so don’t have a lot of experience with stitch types. Although I am trying to broaden my horizons. Guess I need a how to make different stitches book. Comments on picots would be welcomed.

ONLY 6 LEFT AND IN 1 CART Price:$13.00 The Grey Lady Grey Merino and Tussah Silk - 4 oz hipstrings 5 out of 5 stars Handmade Ships from Pennsylvania **BODKINS** Bone bodkins such as our Large Bone Bodkin, are used to assist in lacing stays or any place that ribbons, tapes or cords need to be threaded through a garment or casing. A little more delicate than our BON9 Bodkin reproduced from our own collection, this bodkin is also reproduced from an original. bodkin is a type of arrowhead used in medieval archery. The term "bodkin" comes from the Old English word "bodkin", which means a small dagger. The bodkin arrowhead was designed specifically for the purpose of penetrating armor and other heavy materials. This is the best I could come up with.

The scritchy sound of the yarn on the bone hook is interesting. Can you feel more drag on the yarn because of the bone hook or does it glide over the hook like the metal/plastic hooks?

Have you ever seen a fine metal hook with three different hooks on it?? I have one from my late grandmother. It has three different ends with one handle and a cover. You pick one end and slip the cover over it to make the handle. It's hard to explain.
