I've been wrestling with being single, but I recently have realized how I'll never get this time where I can serve the Lord freely back. When I do get in a relationship I'll have to be concerned with another person but right now I don't have to worry about that and can serve the Lord however I can.

I’ve been married for 7 years and there’s been many times where I felt lonely and had a deep longing feeling. Being married does not satisfy all our needs, only Jesus can do that. Blessings to all!!!!

As someone who is still single, I would also say patience is so important and for singleness to be a season where the Lord really does not only draw us to Himself more but refines our faith! Patience is an evidence of faith. Trust in Him fully and you will surely see His hand leading you in every season.

I was Blessed to have met my husband when I was 20. However we did not date til my 22nd Birthday because he was 16 years older than me. We were married for 35 1/2 years, then he passed away from Cancer. My husband was amazing, we never argued and our life was amazing. Now that I am a widow, I am giving my life to Jesus, I will never marry nor do I plan to date. My comfort is found in Jesus and knowing I will one day see my sweet husband when it’s my turn to go to Heaven. If any of you single ladies out there do find yourself falling in love, make sure he loves the Lord. I pray you all find happiness whether you are single, engaged, or married. Ashley I wish you nothing but the best with Johnny.

Today I've been sick and had to stay home from school. Even though I'm too young for a relationship, I feel like God did speak to me through this video that these things don't only apply to singleness, but to wanting other earthly things, such as a car and an iPad (two things I've really been wanting recently). I felt God saying, "Am I enough for you?" He's convicted me a lot today on little things and to set my heart on things that are above. I always enjoy hearing what you say and the scripture that you give us. Everything is always so meaningful and inspiring. I'm still sitting on the east coast of Florida at the end of Hurricane Ian. We're having tropical storm force winds through tomorrow when the storm exits the state. We did not get the bad wind and rain that the west coast and the middle of the state got. The Lord really took care of me. My house has no damage and I still have power which are two huge miracles. I'm so thankful to the Lord for answering my prayers and taking care of me through this awful storm. I'm praising Him on my knees for His help through this!

I was so strengthened and empowered by the truth shared in this video whereas often I leave other videos feeling angry or resentful or still longing selfishly for marriage. Yeah, it is one of the biggest lies I had fed myself that a S/O would make me happy or satisfied with life. Now, as I know that they can’t and it’s unfair for me to put the load of my happiness on their shoulders, I am really enjoying being in the season of singleness because it is the shortest season of all! I want to run after God and use the time and energy I have for His glory, not pining away for some fantasy. We are single for a reason and we are married for a reason - to give glory to Christ. Let’s go and make the best of each season! 😚

A romantic relationship and marriage are not quite like the fairy tales but they can be good and you can learn so much. Think about the guidelines you want in a relationship while you are single. If you don’t have strong Christian parents who are involved in your life setting those for you then pray & ask God - What kind of purity standards will we have? Should we spend time alone? In each other’s rooms? What goals will we have to grow spiritually as a couple? How will we work out conflicts?Prepare yourself because as Ashley said You’ll probably find it harder than you think. I’ve been married for 25 years now & I’m praying for my sons as they begin to navigate the search for a “someday spouse.” 🙏✝️

I desire to feel complete in Christ. It's just so many distractions right now, but despite that, I still feel Christ in the center of the chaos. It is almost like he is calling me to rest in Him. I do desire to get married, but I also hope to feel more confident about myself first. I appreciate that Ashley pointed out to turn to Christ in our longing. I have been learning to do this when I feel lonely. I am beginning to see how Christ understands me completely and finishes my thoughts, questions, etc. I am hoping for a Christ like perspective. I think the thing is, we often look at singleness as something to be endured instead of being enjoyed. It’s a trial don’t get me wrong but it’s so many joyous moments with the Lord. Singleness points us to the New Heaven and the New Earth. There’s no marriage in heaven. Although spiritual, marriage is an earthly blessing.

This message can be applied in many ways. Only Jesus Christ can feel any void in our hearts, very comforting video

The thing is with me, according to God, I actually had the opposite situation. God wanted me to be with my soulmate in order for me to not only fully understand the path He wanted me to take, but to also have a VERY strong relationship with Him. If it wasnt for my fiance, I would of NEVER found a beautiful relationship with God the way He wanted it to be for me. Instead, i would of been stuck being a catholic (no offense to anyone that is) In my personal life experience, I never fully learned who God REALLY was and what He truley wanted from me. The catholic church never did that for me, but the bible based non-denominational church (that my fiance led me to) did. I know this might sound like an excuse to be with someone but it honest to God truley wasn't the case at all. God needed me to take this path in life and I'm SO blessed that I did. Not to mention, if it wasn't for her, I would of never even known about Coffee and Bible Time :)

I’ve never been married by law I lived with my children fathers one passed met the other later was single for a long time and I missed out on me and my kids longing for a man to be with chose many wrong men until I met to worst of all and got recused by my girls father now that we are older rekindled have more respect love and honor and now that I’m older I realized bit late what I’ve been missing.. Lord our father is above all of ur eyes are not fixed on him nothing will be from him. Yes, I completely agree with you. While I was dating my ex at the time, I thought being with him at the very beginning would make me happy and satisfied with life.. man, was I wrong💀 I was actually lonelier, more depressed actually.. him and I were long distance since his duty station is far from where I live at; so it was really hard to be there for him when he needed me, and vice versa.. I left the relationship feeling worse than I ever did before entering it. So to those in their waiting season... being in a relationship is more challenging than waiting to be honest.. so I encourage that you embrace this period while you still have it, and work on baby steps towards Jesus -- as I am currently doing ;) thank you for your wisdom!

Great vídeo. The points you bring are wonderfully described in a book Im currently reading, called “Single isnt second best” - PhiIip Wilder -im reading it in Kindle. Btw: im 34 and my prayers are all about asking Jesus to be my joy. And I dont ask to get married, I ask His wise Will to be done in my life. I’ve been struggling with this so much I come from a broken family and always thought that I would never be in a relationship. Then I had one but had to let go because it wasn’t going to work heart broken and sad was all I was for 2 years and Have felt desperate for a relationship ever since I do think I’m fantasizing to much about having a wife and kids etc but it’s just difficult. Hi Ash (I hope it's okay if I call you this), I don't think Hallow is a good source at all with the mixing of Christianity and Catholicism as they're truly two different faiths. I just wanted to say this, because I know some people will go on it and if they're new in the faith, it could confuse them or even if they're mature. There are other resources out there on KZfaq where you can hear the Bible read to you (one of things I do is search for example the book of matthew kjv). With love, Hannah
