A year before my wife passed away I told her that my biggest regret was that she didn’t have a group of women friends that she could have shopped with or had lunch with because my of my work schedule. Her response was, “If I had wanted that, I would have had it. What I wanted was you and the kids”. What a wonderful woman. I miss her dearly.

Nice to see a conservative who doesn’t pretend that Taylor Swift is awful. She speaks to a lot of people’s experiences, and knows how to tell a story. Not liking her is fine, but hating on her just for being successful is embarrassing.

@@sheeplenk let’s go back a bit to word definitions: conservative by definition means to retain what is being diminished. Therefore your declaration regarding all conservatives simply exposes your distaste for what they are conserving rather than the honesty that they are in fact trying to retain what used to be the standard. I’m not making a judgment, just an observation. I can call Swift awful, not because I just don’t like her, but because she is presenting a new standard that destroys what I want conserved.

I just wanted to say thank you for being someone on daily wire that does not bully or shame Taylor for writing about her life, not being married yet, or having children. Candace really shamed her when she was on daily wire for no reason and now Ben jumped on the bandwagon. Thank you for actually caring about other women and not being the cause of Taylor having more bullying in her life.

May God (Allah) guide everyone astray. Whoever searches the books knows very well that the Trinity, divinity, and humanity are not present in them, and there is no mention of them or of Christ’s confession that he is God, God forbid. They are all interpretations of priests, as if God needs explanations for the basis of his divinity. In all religions there are differences, but the origin is clear with regard to God, except for Christianity. God. There are throughout history conflicts over his divinity and identity. Christ himself was calling on God and asking Him like any human being. God guided everyone to His unity and satisfaction Whoever searches for answers to doubts about Islam will find them, but most people want what their priests allow

My wife and I met later in life and I told her upfront that my intent was to court with the intent to marry. Making intentions known upfront was a devotion to her and to myself, and made it easy for both of us to relax as we spent time together. I also made it clear that sex was for the marriage bed, and not until then. It was further proof that my intent was to honor and respect her, and consequently drove our passion for each other through the roof.

She’s a billionaire and could have one baby every 9 months from any guy she wanted and more proposals than she could handle. But the guys she wants, men with money and fame and talent and resources, they run far far away and always have. Because they see through the manipulation. Total narcissist.

Her and “a lot” relationships is kind of misleading. Yea she went out with a bunch of people, but if you follow the timeline of each and what she was doing (recording/touring/hosting) she spent very little time with most of them. Joe was the only “real” relationship she had. And he was never committed to it other than the “free milk and a cow” analogy!!

@peterpanagopoulos6698 And you know this for sure how exactly? Do you know them personally? Did they speak to you about the issue? Is it obvious that she wanted that at 30? Or you just going by lyrics. Unless y'all have forgotten, "Champagne problems", on Evermore? About a guy proposing and the WOMAN, said no. Or "The only kind of girl they see, is a one night or a wife...damned if I don't give a damn what people say...no deal, that 1950's sh!t they want from me..."? Or "I broke his heart cos he was nice...he wanted comfortable I wanted that pain, he wanted a bride, I was making my own name, chasing that fame". You can find lyrics for and against the singer/songwriters intented. But we don't know what conversations are happening behind closed doors. And they are not obliged to let us know. Although she also said that the songs are very hyperbolic. Perhaps she means the marriage symbolism and references. Point is, we have one side of a story, by an unreliable author that everyone suddenly believes is about [___insert subject ___]. So it seems strange to me that people believe that every thing she does and says is 💯 true. Is she talented- extremely. Is she rich? Yes she's a billionaire. Has she herself said that she wanted to marry Joe specifically? Is she working with the Eras Tour, re recording, dating an NFL player, and still have time to collect a ton of awards, and drop a double album that will keep things go along nicely. Who knows. Or cares in the grand scheme of major current events.

Honestly as much as a lot of conservatives beat up on Taylor for focusing on immature relationships rather than marriage and children, and blaming men for her bad decisions, this whole album (+ the anthology) really goes against that. It's incredibly self-critical, continuously talking about her desire to be a wife and mother, her regrets about past relationships, including being a forever girlfriend and getting caught up with flings, and really puts the blame on herself. She's probably the most influential celebrity for young women and girls, and I think her making a whole album dedicated to her sadness about where her decisions have left her is actually a great message and warning. I was a little disappointed that Ben ripped this album just because he thought the title is pretentious, without acknowledging that the subject matter is actually culturally beneficial, much more than most female popstars, like Ariana Grande who just released an album about how getting a divorce was a great thing.

Wprd of warning to women (and men, too): If the person you're daring has reservations about marriage and commitment, dont shack up and play house thinking you're going to sow the seeds to change their mind. All you are doing is getting them comfortable so they wont ever want more. Without a ring, you are the live-in maid/cook/landscaper/fixer-upper who warms the sheets at night. If you ask your partner to marry you and they say, "Why would we want to ruin what we've got with a piece of paper?" RUN! To borrow a Gibbs Rule: Don't waste good.

I think we also need to speak about the other end as well. I was in a situationship with a woman who wouldn't commit because of her work. I waited and was wanting to marry her, but she she told me she wouldn't say yes because her career was going to take her on the road anyday, to which she never has. She just continued dating me, and I held out hope that maybe she would have said yes, but after two years I finally said a prayer and felt like it was time to move on. I wept over the time I wasted on someone who I had hoped would be the mother of my children, and through that pain and sorrow I was able to move on. A month after I cut off that relationship I found my wife. We dated and got married. We couldn't be happier. You all deserve someone who values you, your time and holds your same values, and know that if you are scared of the pain, it will be worth it for the happiness you are striving for.

I met my husband in May 2012, I was 26. After 3 months of dating, he told me that he didn’t want to get married or have kids. Seeing how his family dynamic was, I don’t blame the guy; lots of divorces and kids in the family with no discipline. I was on the fence, but everything just felt so right with him, I loved him and he was my first boyfriend. I told him I would agree to the terms and we could stay a couple as long as we were faithful to each other; he agreed. Then in December 2014 he asked me to marry him. In the 2 years we were together, I had unintentionally convinced him that he wanted to have me as his wife and have kids too. I never tried to change his mind, and he just suddenly dropped down with a bridal set ring set, and said he wanted marriage and kids. In July 2016 we were married. Now in 2024 we have three kids under three and been married 7.5 years. Still very happy and in love

We planned our wedding for almost 2 years and got married November 2023. Been together little over 5 years now. He knew how much I wanted to have my dream wedding and we made it happen. We still haven’t bought a house yet mainly due to the market and our financial situation, but we couldn’t me more happy. I totally agree with everything said. I wished you had also talked about the lyrics in “loml” because it backs up what you were saying. Some of lyrics include, “talking rings and talking cradles, I wish I could I unrecall how we almost had it all”, and “oh what a valiant roar, what a bland goodbye, the coward claimed was a lion, I’m combing through the braids of lies, I’ll never leave never mind, our field of dreams engulfed in fire your arson’s match your somber eyes, and I’ll still see it until I die, you’re the loss of my life.” The part where she said talking rings, is her referencing marriage as well as her calling Joe a coward for not committing and saying she would never leave and never mind really paints a picture of the permanent girlfriend situation and the way she portrayed it made my heart break for her.

We were both honest and upfront from the get-go and knew what we wanted and that we wanted it from each other. Get married, if you want to, of course, and think of it as a partnership, will, you will both work towards goals. Not achieve a goal, and then get married. That’s how it used to be. Celebrating my Fortieth Anniversary this year in fact just last March. Took me a year to decide she was the one! Commitment is scary for people who aren't used to it. But if you know you know and you either man up or move on!

She said she carried the relationship on her back in the lyrics, if that's true he probably wanted to break up but she always found a way to bring him back. Men and women, if your partners want space or they want to leave, let them. Stop acting out of fear of being alone.

lol , so relatable a man in London wasted my time with 3 year engagement ( he didn’t want to marry me) and four year relationship, it is trully heartbreaking because you build dreams together and now it feels like my best years are gone - the most heartbreaking for me is as you say energy, and my best years and my most fertile years.

The sad and ugly, hard truth is, many of us women are just so stupid. We make all kinds of excuses FOR HIM. We're GREAT at putting our own hopes and dreams on the back-burner (lest we're a "nag"). It's messed up. The truth is, he would if he wanted to. And once we have proof he just doesn't want to, we still don't cut our losses. For whatever reason. That's on us.

At the age of 30 I had been living with my boyfriend for 3 years. I gave him an ultimatum. He had 2 weeks to decide if he wanted to marrying me soon and have kids, or I was going to have to split because it was going to be harder to find someone else the older I got. Straight away he said he loved me and didn’t want to lose me. I have now been married for 24 years and have two amazing adult kids and my husband and I still love each other as much as we did then. It is a different love, because we have had to weather some storms along the way, but he is still my best friend, my confidante, and my rock, and we will be together until one of us dies. The way to get through life with one partner is to marry a friend and person that you just love to be around, then never try and change them, and just love and support them through all of life’s challenges.

Only God should be your rock, not a man. Idk but your story brings up some red flags. I've seen women give a man who is dragging his feet an ultimatum and I think if you had to go that far, he's just keeping you for convenience. If he loved you as you claim, he would have done it on his own. He wouldn't have needed you to threaten him to do it. The length of a marriage means nothing, it's the quality. I know plenty of dysfunctional couples who have been together 20-30+ years while there's manipulation and cheating behind closed doors. No offense but you sound a little codependent and that's not a good thing.

No you have this all wrong. Not everyone believes in marriage. He would have just been happy living together, but he just didn’t know if he wanted children. He has been a beautiful honest loving partner to me all these years. No dysfunction at all. I am an atheist so it has nothing to do with God for me. I am surprised you got such a negative thing out of my love story that I shared. I guess that teaches me to not get involved in the comments section.

I just want to point out that one of the main reasons why some men aren't sure about marriage is because it is literally stacked against our odds. Statistics point to women initiating majority of the divorces and men getting screwed the most in divorce. Some men have drowned so deep in debt that they kill themselves. And as for prenups, it SHOULD protect individual parties, but a judge can over rule the prenup.

I think that Taylor’s “youth” meant the time she could have gotten out and have fun but Joe was so private and wanted to stay in all the time. She felt like her best years had gone to waste. Not about childbearing
