@@NoiseFetishist Why do you say that? You mean it didnt 'age' well? Grammar my friend. We all know what Ric Flair is about. Noone 'really' knows everything that happened on that flight but obviously we've heard things over the years, over and over and over. Yes Ric has said racist things, done sexist things that would get people thrown in prison today or simply get cancelled... but us younger peeps need to realize they lived in a different world. If you didn't act a certain way towards woman and gays back then, YOU would be the one attacked, YOU would be the one cancelled and have no friends and be outcasted. Don't cast stones into the past my friend.

jdbankshot So you don’t think it’s a little extreme to fire someone for drinking and singing?
@jdbankshot
@jdbankshot 6 жыл бұрын
that was the 'official' story for the public. fact is, dustin was a notorious harasser/abuser of female staff, his 'ribbbing' of others was extreme to the point of being dangerous, was accused of stealing from his fellow wrestlers, & tried to sabotage some careers with his lies. those were the real reasons (that, & dusty wanted him to leave for the wcw). also, i must re-iterate, flair=money, dustin=yawns. it's like firing hogan & holding on to the brooklyn brawler or bart starr, firing steve austin & re-hiring uncle elmer. illogical.

Anyone could see that something was wrong with Chris in every match he participated in. Every top rope headbutt to a downed opponent left him writhing in pain at the impact. That should have pushed many for him to seek medical treatment, but these wrestlers are not people to the promoters. They are prized racing horses, and once they reach their limits, they are sent to the slaughterhouse. One only has to watch a "Where are they now?" on former wrestlers to see what those billionaires have done for them.

Jun Lee when it comes to killers, one like Benoit who had a 100 things mixing to make him a ticking time bomb, it’s to find the lessons we can learn. Which in the WWE, were hundreds of reasons. He never truly addressed his emotional pain either, if he even had the capacity to do so. There were emotional and physical/scientific reasons to horror he committed. Ideally you stop the stuff killing your body, Benoit and thousands of wrestlers don’t. We didn’t know what worst case was until Benoit killed his family.

I think there's many other factors that have killed wresting here in Puerto Rico, mostly WWC' s bad booking and non existent angles and Victor Jovica. You still have to mention the times IWA totally sold out Pepin Cestero in Bayamon. But unfortunately the Indy Wrestling scene it's on life support.

So tired of seeing the Benoit story misrepresented. You guys are usually on point, but every time you bring that up you're only telling half the story. The only thing being hushed there is how much the head trauma contributed to his pyschotic episode. The amount of testosterone being present is being severely inflated. But what's worse is how the amount of brain damage is being downplayed. Autopsies confirmed that over 75% of Benoit's brain tissue showed either scarring or some kind of damage. Numerous experts in the field have agreed that the brain damage is far more likely to have contributed to Benoit's personality changes and actions than any steroid use. However the WWE will never admit that, because then they'd have to take some responsibility for Benoit's actions. You think they want anyone to think that this is a possible consequence of long term employment in their company? Is it any coincidence that their policies on head bumps changed dramatically almost immediately after this incident happened?

There are tons of wresters and football players with severe head damage that don't become killers. This video does underplay the role that had, but you are overplaying the role it had. Benoit is still responsible for his actions.

Nothing about the Von Erich curse? 5 sons of Fritz who killed themselves or died in shady ways? Criminal. Speaking of Criminal, The Chris Benoit story saddens me beyond all reason. Not entirely because I was such a fan of his in Stampede Wrestling that a friend of mine played a mean practical joke on his mother who was suffering Alzheimer's, and told her that I had moved to Calgary, went on a massive steroid program and had begun wrestling under the name of Chris Benoit. To this day, that poor old woman thinks I am a killer of women and children, as well as a suicide. :(

George Zahorian was employed by WWWF/WWF for a lot longer than 10 years. He first began working for them as ringside physician on "All Star Wrestling" back in 1973. So he was with them for nearly 17 years, and probably supplying the wrestlers with various steroids for the entire time.
