I'm having sudden flashbacks to watching WWF wrestling back in early 2000. It was an episode of RAW and just as they were cutting to a commercial break it cut to what I think was a live feed of a camera that didn't realize it was live. It only lasted like 4 or 5 second and it had Rock casually shooting the shit with the camera man while pouring water on himself to create that sweat effect when it walks in sometimes. It was just surreal seeing behind the curtain even if it was only a few seconds and it stuck with me as a kid.

The bit about GAB2004 is actually incorrect. The footage came from Saturday night, the day before the PPV. Someone on a website called The Sledgehammer forums discovered that the arena's website had live feeds from within the arena. Various camera angles from the skyboxes, and one was the actual rehearsal feed. I remember sitting there watching basically the whole rehearsal for about 4 hours. They did Mordecai's entrance a few times to get the timing down, some of the matches had brief run-throughs got get the finishes locked down, etc. There was a RAW episode in like 2010-ish where this happened as well, but they caught on about an hour into rehearsal and took the page on the website down.

Funny how that "curtain call" moment was used as part of an angle for DX against Vince McMahon over 1 year later

I just want to know what made Vince think that wrestling needs such heavy scripting when literally the biggest stars and best moments all happened when the wrestlers had freedom. I just don't get it.

there was a script leak of wcw nitro in the late 90s before the show aired live. yahoo chat was big then with wrestling fans watching along live. this was during the monday night wars. some fans mentioned possibly taking bets based on this info. it also shattered the disbelief of some marks who refused to believe wrestling was staged and that it was real. due to its time-sensitive nature it also confirmed what many fans knew.

I remember one time back in 07 or 06 I went to a RAW live show and we went to the arena hours early and we went to stand by the doors and I could see the ring and titron from the window and they were playing the wrestlers music and videos packs and at one point Mick Foley came out into the ring and was cutting a promo and it was the same promo I seen later that night lol

Simon, you cannot possibly be that naive. The reason the Undertaker (in kayfabe of course) pulled the lever was so that no one could ever attempt to use paul bearer against him in that manner again. Think about the movie "The Usual Suspects" and the origin story of the character Keyser Soze. The Undertaker, along similar lines, showed those "men of evil" what true evil really was. Or if you prefer in a more wrestling sense, he did it so (again in kayfaybe) other wrestlers would think "If Taker is willing to do that to Paul Bearer, what will he do to me?" There, two very logical (and not only easily deduced but totally telegraphed by the content being provided by the time that how anyone didn't pick up on them is beyond me) reasons the Undertaker pulled that lever.
