Simon when you bring up Sid's injury PLEASE remember to bring up that he was pressured by management to do something he wasn't comfortable doing. Feels backhanded to talk about it without mentioning that if left to his own devices he wouldn't have broken his leg. Especially in modern times, that violation of trust should be brought up more often as a warning

You know how much of a good and safe worker Chris Jericho really was as he knows how bad of an injury it was and his first initiative was to make sure they were treated immediately to hell with kayfabe, the fans and everything else.

I remember an elimination chamber match a few years ago. Someone got slammed into a pod and the glass broke, as it usually happens. Problem is, either it wasn't supposed to break, or it was the wrong pod, because one of the contenders was still inside the it, and everyone in the ring freaked out because suddenly there was one more active wrestlers and no spot prepared. What followed was Ziggler and I think Cesaro taking control and calling every spot for the next two minutes so loudly the camera picked up every word. it didn't kill the match, because after a while things calmed down, but man it was weird to watch.

@Jason_Ultimate 2 жыл бұрын
I do think they should've just called an audible, had Del Rio slap on a quick Cross Arm Breaker (or have Sin Cara hit a quick finisher if they really needed to protect his early momentum) and end it early. However, in a sport like wrestling it's always better to err on rhe side of caution with injuries. You don't want to make anything minor end up worse than it has to be because people are expected to "tough it out" to the end of the match. That kind of attitude can easily turn a minor injury with a month or so hiatus to recover into something that takes much longer to heal and costs a lot more to fix.
