When I was in 7th grade, my BEST FRIEND made a group chat called “We all hate Emma” (my name). My only friend in there added me, and we just watched as the other 6 people in the chat (all of them I thought were my friends) just talked the nastiest, and meanest stuff about me. They said I slept my way to good grades. (Keep in mind THIS WAS 7TH GRADE) The one person who added is still my friend, and is going to be my maid of honor at wedding in 8 months.

for some people it's hard to leave the friendship. For example, they may not want to be alone because by leaving the friendship they won't have friends anymore. Another example could be that they are making you stay in the friendship by manipulating you and saying that they'll do something to you if you leave. I've experienced fake friends before, and it's hard to leave when they say they'll do something to you if you leave. Also, it's just hard to leave a relationship in general, especially when you become really attached to somebody.

I had an incident and I’m not quite sure what I’m supposed to do. Ok so at my school I had tried out diving with my friend at school, but I soon stopped because it was taking up time and it just wasn’t the sport for me. Anyways a little back story, me and my friend both do rowing and at the moment we had stopped rowing because it was off season. So one day we are both walking to our usual lunch spot to go and eat, and I’m just talking about how weird it is to have my schedule so empty because there’s no rowing. She had said, “oh yeah that’s true”, but she was still doing diving so her free time was kind of taken away by diving. I had then said, “ oh wait yeah you still do diving right?” Her: “ oh yeah you stopped right?” Me: “oh yeah wasn’t really my thing” her: “oh I had thought it was because your an elephant.” At the moment I was struggling with my weight and a lot of stress so this kind of hit hard. We are still friends but she will always throw comment like this at me. Should I stop being friends? Should I tell her? I don’t know

You can confront her and tell her the way she made you feel or makes you feel and see where the convo goes. If she is sorry and doesn't do it anymore, you both can rebuild the friendship, with boundaries. But she continues to do it and denies what she did and tells you "I never said that" or "you are lying"....drop the friendship. And don't worry about your weight you are Goddess☺
