Watch to the END to see what happens!
The recent news of Martha Stewart's Peacocks being eaten by coyotes hits a little too close to home for Jeremy & George
Their peacocks and chickens are being stalked by coyotes on a daily basis
So Jeremy feels reluctant to let the peacocks out to free range at Hale$ Headquarters
Instead, Jeremy turns the peacock playpen into a peacock penthouse until their bird aviary is built
Will Jeremy & George be able to keep the birds safe from the coyotes
Watch to the END to see what happens!

I think the pvc pipes will be a bit too slippery so their feet can't grip it. Maybe rather use some long straight branches on or glue sandpaper on pvc pipes so they will feel more secure when roosting.

A fun way to grow potatoes is to get maybe a 6 foot by 6 foot piece of rigid chicken fencing. Get a bail of straw. Get any kinds of potatoes. You can even just buy a bag at the store. Mold the chicken wire into a round tube and close it with zip ties. Mount the chicken wire tune into the ground in full sun. Layer inside the tube straw then potatoes then straw then potatoes then straw then potatoes all the way to the top. Keep it moist. It will grow out the sides like a giant chia pet. After the potato plants die off in late fall you just pull the tube out of the ground and tons of potatoes will fall out. They come out so clean you usually don’t even need to wash them. Some will also be in the ground under where the tube was. You can also do this with sweet potatoes

You need to wrap the pvc pipe with burlap or rope to make it easier for the peacocks to roost on them. The pipe is foreign to them and they are used to natural resources such as branches.

So much fun watching you guys. Look up what to wear when cleaning your chicken coop. Many lung issues/diseases associated with birds. Mask are definitely recommended as well as hand washing. Hand sanitizer would be good also. A few articles even recommend wearing footwear designed for cleaning coops that should not be worn inside your home. Thinking of you're safety especially after Patience said something about all the dust that was flying around. Also not good for George. You guys are all looking great and as always very entertaining. Never miss a video.

I used to use a garden hoe to clean off the shelves in a pigeon coop, you could try that for your peacock shelf. It helps scrape together poop off as well. Then brush it into a bucket to take it out of the pen.

Jeremy, I don't know if you have time to read all of these but it's just an idea I had.. Trees limbs Are rough with bark.Maybe you could roll rope around those 2 white PVC nesting pipes and it would be rough enough for the peacocks to grab ahold of and sit on. I love watching you with your birds. You really are alot.
@momnoah5
@momnoah5 Жыл бұрын
Suggestion: wrap those PVC pipes with vet wrap. It will make cleaning them easier- when dirty, cut it off, toss and rewrap. It isn't expensive, a couple dollars a 4" roll and goes a long way. It's kind of rubbery feeling, stretchy and sticks only to itself. It gives them a better grip and it will make them feel more secure when perching. I use it for my parrots all the time. Hey a little FYI. You may know this, but other viewers may not. You have 2 silky roosters there and one hen (George). The other thing is the eggs. Yes, they are small, but they could be from any of them. "Pullet eggs" are the first eggs a pullet (young hen that isn't laying regularly yet, for those that don't know) lays regardless of the size of the hen. Very often, they are very small to start with. Nature's way of getting them ready for regular laying. You'll be getting small Bantam eggs and big eggs before you know it! Good luck.

You need one potato to one pot,fill the pot up first,then put the potato down in the soil ,build a hill to support the potato plant,this also protects the potato from the sun.Mark the date you planted it.hill the potato every 1-2 weeks ,Maintain even moisture throughout the growing process-1-2 inches of water per week is ideal.Your potato seeds at the look of them are already weeks ahead of planting.The plants need to be hilled up to the first sign of leafs showing,they need at least 6 hours of full sun.the seed potato needs to be 12 inches apart.I ‘m growing potatoes for the first time and have mine in a container by them self.They need the room for the tubers,which the potatoes grow off of.Once the plant is 6 to 8 inches tall,or around 5 to 7 weeks after planting.usually takes 90 days for most Varieties,I worry about the heat wave all over country.Potatoes need between 60 to 90 degrees.We have been having a lot of rain and 100 degrees temperatures.So I’m hoping I still get a good crop.🙏🏻Good Luck with your potatoes 🤗❤️

Another way to grow potatoes and recycle rubber is to use tires. My Grandpa used to take a tractor tire, fill it with dirt, plant the taters. When the plants grow enough, place another tire on top of the first, carefully fill it with dirt (don't bury the plants completely) and by the end of the growing season knock the tires over. Bakers will be on the bottom and new will be on the top.

To plant potatoes and empress your visitors, do this. Get a tire and in the middle plant your your potatoes. When the sprouts begin to about 4 inches above the tire get another tire and put it on top of the first tire and add soil, when they begin to show above the second tire, get another tire and stack it on top of the second tire etc. continue for up to ten tires.. to harvest just push the tires over this will spill the soil out and this will show the potatoes easy to do, no grass to deal with. Not a hard job.

Corn, wheat and other grains are a common food source for peacocks. They will also eat beans and peas, and they may tear tomatoes, bell peppers or fruits apart to get to the seeds inside. Cantaloupe and watermelon, for instance, have large seeds that contain nutrients necessary to a peacock's diet
