Its a common joke that policemen in the US weren't smart enough to be firemen. So they either failed the firemen test or weren't smart enough to choose the right test (firemen test) in the first place so they ended up as policemen Edit: hope I explained that one right

@@SirStouk The cop wasn't even invited, so he's home alone. Correction: It's probably more about the fact that the police officer took the wrong test, so couldn't be fire or EMS, so got stuck as police. Because police officers wish they could be heroes like fire & EMS.

You can always send to your nearest EMS station, we LOVE it when the community sends us SNACKS! No one gets more excited than showing up at station for a long hard shift and the operations window counter is full of trays or SNACKS!!!

Always good to see a new episode. Really needed this one after running a code 3 where I had four different incidents of people in front of me just stopping right in the middle of the lane - basically the absolute worst thing you can do. If you keep moving, at least you are moving, even if it's not as good as moving out of the lane.

No. Firefighter EMTs are well paid. Regular EMTs and regular firefighters are paid terribly.

ok, I have to ask. I'm in the UK and I assume 'Trucker' is the Driver of the fire engine. 'EMS' is what we would call a paramedic. But who is 'engine'. I know he wont be putting his legs through the floor of the truck like the flintstones but I'm struggling to work out what his job role is.

Truckie are the guys who work on the Ladder/Tower apparatus, they force entry, do ventilation, basically most of the fireground jobs that aren't flowing water/handling hose. Engine are guys that work on an engine company, they handle the hose and flow water in thr fireground. It's the "big divide" between the 2 different specialties in most fire departments in the USA. There are other specialties too. But those are typically region/department specific more so than the engine/truckie divide. EMS are paramedics and EMTs on the ambulances.
