Being someone who used to work at an Amazon warehouse, I'm honestly not surprised. Our facility cracked down on a small group who were in the packing section for taking iPhones and shipping empty boxes. They were caught pretty quick. Uncle Bezos doesn't mess around

@ciaraabattle82498 ай бұрын
Not all of them are like that I work in a distribution center & there’s only cameras in the actual warehouse not in the break areas or outside we don’t have metal detectors & there’s no security guards. It depends on where you are & how stupid you are lol.

@jdhorror8 ай бұрын
@@ciaraabattle8249 Yeah the break rooms don't have any cameras where I work. But that's pretty much the only place, I mean, obviously the washrooms don't either, that would be fucked up lol. You literally can't leave the actual warehouse without going through metal detectors, and backpack checks. I'm not an amazon employee and the security guards all know me so I never get stopped. That being said, I'm not a thief, I'm a grown ass adult who can purchase things I want/need. And even if I was a thief, I wouldn't be dumb enough to try. That's just asking to get arrested and fired immediately.

I feel for the owner of the shop gathering information on one of your own employees is hard. I worked as an office manager and had to do the same and fire the person over $500. It's sad because if she would've just advised us that she needed some money, I probably would've just given it to her because she was a lovely lady who was doing well at the job but she was a thief and a coward to boot.

@michaelakadap9247 ай бұрын
@@haloimplant7678 the company is justified in calling the police if the employee doesn’t want to leave. It’s better to call the police because you wouldn’t want to get into a fight or something like that. All I’m saying is that if she left when she was told to she’d probably only be suspended for a few days. I worked in a restaurant, where a particular person would come and drunk sometimes. That person was going through some severe personal mental problems. He lost his mother, which was the only living family member left. Any drowned himself in alcohol almost every day. We just sent him home and never had a problem. If he refused, then the police probably would’ve been involved. Because it’s a severe endangerment if we continue to let them work. For himself, and other people around. I’m not saying it’s acceptable, but it’s understandable. This woman should’ve just shut her mouth did what she was told and she would still probably be working there today.

Worked at a truck stop shop for a few years. Had all kinds of characters come through working there, the best being Ernie. He was a drug addict that worked to sustain his habit. This worked until some tools walked out with him to the pawn shop one day and the boss man caught it all on the surveillance cameras. They made this man work his entire next shift then called him to the office with about 20 minutes left. He was met with 2 officers and some managers. They proceeded to fire him, arrest him, and pat him down finding in this order: about 2g weed, 1 dirty spoon, 1 small baggie of the fun stuff (keep in mind this whole time he’s sweaty and covered in oil and grease form working his whole shift). He was already getting arrested for stealing the tools but everything else was just the icing on the cake.

Well yeah... is he supposed to feel bad about stealing a couple hundred dollars from Amazon? Yeah, he probably feels bad about getting caught, losing his job, and getting charges laid against him, but how do you expect him to feel bad for Amazon? Legally he was in the wrong, but morally? Amazon steal millions from their own employees and global tax payers every day.

Or maybe it is just a hole in her knowledge and she shouldn't skip class in law school, she clrarly needs ALL THE INFORMATION...

Back in the 1980's I worked at an upscale department store. One day a guy who worked in the warehouse decided to steal a very expensive leather jacket. He threw it on top of the store. Security saw this and when he went to get the jacket he was busted. He only lost his job-they didn't prosecute.

There were two housekeepers in the hotel where I was also employed who overdosed one day. One was unconscious in the room she was tasked with cleaning and the other was face down in the hallway. The paramedics had to use narcan to revive them. They both showed up the following day expecting to still be employed. Imagine how that went down.
