If you are a foreigner in the U.S. you are allowed to drive with the foreign driver license up to 4-6 months in most states, but after that you need to get an IDP (International Driving Permit), which last about a year or so, but after those 4 months it's illegal without a permit. Extra info : You must get an IDP before your trip, since the U.S. does not issue IDPs to foreign visitors and to get an IDP, contact the motor vehicle department of the country that issued your driver's license.

The U.S. police lacks so much because the required hours needed is 652 hours, which is not enough. That alone says so much about how so many cops cost the state.

If I was a cop on call to what I'm being told is a man pledging his allegiance to a known terrorist organization, I'm not going to go up to him and ask him how his day is going. They did what they needed to do, and once he was cleared they released him. To be fair...The gentleman from Turkey, I've never heard of the law about the driver's license. I now know something new. The officer was completely unprofessional. And he did get the correct punishment. I was in the law enforcement academy 06-07...we covered the basics when dealing with foreigner matters. Not sure if that law was in place then. Officers are expected to know the law but at the same time are not going to know every law. Also, at the same time, they should be brushing up when they can on as much knowledge as they can. This seems to be an American police problem. People from other countries are allowed to drive in America without going through the process to get another license. There has been many clips of cops pulling people over and trying this bullshit. If you needed an American license to drive there, how would ANY of the land border crossings work? Stop and think for half a second. That's saying millions of people/truck drivers are driving illegally at the Canadian and Mexican borders. That amount of thinking is diffuclt for American police though. It's basic logic! Edit: Don't forget the fact that Americans think their license entitles them to drive anywhere in the world but assume that everyone elses licenses don't afford them the same privilages.

Second one is obviously a case of people either growing up poor or coming from a poor country where it was socially accepted to steal small things and not get punished for it because nobody could afford bothering with it / the systems weren't solid enough to catch them in the act. I've seen it before, it's entitlement born out of poverty and poor education, at least in the "community" part. There's a lot of work needed to be done in order for these people to stop being assholes like that because that's been hardcoded into their morals ever since they were babies.

There is an onus on the traveler more so than the police, to NOT be pulled over in this very uncommon scenario in the 1st place. It's super easy since our road and signage infrastructure IS in place and obviously followed (if he bothered to look at the other traffic).

Last one made me pretty pissed the caller can get up to 30 years for racial profiling if this happend in europe cops could have a very big fine for injuring somone or putting them in a life or death situation without proper information as the guys didnt have any explosives strapped on them or near them the guy had a stroke and the cop could be fined for that and even fired if the guy pressed charges

The cops didn't know the man was on his way to the hospital, They were only acting on what the caller told them and they did what they were told to do. The caller nor the Cops were at fault here it was the women at the desk for lying about the man and how he was acting clearly he was doing nothing wrong and had nothing on him. Its a shame people would go out of their way to make a false report to get a man/women in trouble because they don't like that person or what they stand for, that lady put that man in a very dangerous situation when doing that and she knew it, I really hope she got arrested for making such a report on a innocent man and i hope he's okay
