When GAMBLES go WRONG in the AFL

Some clubs have a knack of finding hidden gems outside the national draft. When it comes to more troubled players it does seem to be far more miss then hit but it won't stop clubs from trying to reach for talent even if it backfires.

If he did go to Geelong he would have to do everything by the book and then some before he'd be close to playing a game. I agree he is a good player and if he was playing for North Melbourne rn he would be great. Last chance opportunity for him

The club support is but a small part of rehabilitation. The player themselves and their family play a much larger part. Geelong had a string of second chance players before getting lucky with Stengle. With Geelong you’d have to go back to Stokes for the last second chance player that worked out for them.

so you're saying tarryn thomas deserves a 4th or 5th chance to continue playing afl because of his talent and ignore all the things he did that got him suspended by the afl..... He had years to pull his head in at north and pissed it away with them why should he then be allowed to walk into a top contending team? What message does that send other players?
