I had a few down days between work and wanted to rent a car to explore the city. I managed to find a convertible V8 F-Type for hire for $250 per day.
I think I was missing my own car a little too much...

Sunny California ... yaa right ..not by fog city Sam .. perhaps 40 minutes out in any direction :P .. driven some of those roads (actually chucked my first car over one of those cliff's on Lucas Valley Road back in 91 ). Glad you're enjoying the Bay Area.

The V8S was rated at 495HP, but it dynos about the same as an R, around 500 Wheel HP. The light weight of the RWD cars and hydraulic steering makes the V8S the best F-Type ever, especially with a two pulley tune to 696 Brake HP.

Only thing I wish would change with f type would be that they get rid of that black bar on the grille but I know it has to be there because of the front number plates

You are not stupid for making that Quicksilver exhaust mod. It has changed the tone of your car and in my opinion, it sounds better with the Quicksilver exhaust. But who am I to certify that you aren't mad for some reason ;-)

Guess this answers the questions as to whether or not you should sell your own F Type. Though, video wise, while its a quality video, and an awesome car to drive there, bit disappointing that you didn't pick something you normally wouldn't see in your part of the world.

It slides around more because it's a rental. You'll never have the same lack-of-sympathy for tires/brakes/clutches/etc. as you will have when the car isn't yours or a friends.
