They do realise BUT their false self is in such control that they don’t and can’t admit fault or take accountability for their actions. The false self is protecting the real persons fragile ego and self so there will never be reflection. Reflection and looking in the mirror brings up feelings of guilt and shame so this will never happen. I’ve loved the person hard and it’s impossible to get past the false self guardian to the actual broken person inside

Dude, i got so abused by my ex. I did all this shit you spoke of. It was no “mistake”. It was her choice. And we got back together several times. Shed always get mad if i brought up the shit she did.
