Hi Achala, good question! It is possible that these headaches are as a result of the whiplash injury. The best thing to do would be to consult your GP or perhaps a Watsons Headache Clinician to determine if that is what is contributing to your symptoms and how they can help you.

@@brisbaneheadacheandmigrain3863 thank you. I had no degeneration present on xray at time of accident at age 36. 2 years later I had degeneration present. Now recent MRI shows C5 spinal cord flattening, marked stenosis and foraminal degeneration, especially C5/6/7, but I had some Prolotherapy and that helped the aching at C6/7. But didn't help with pain near c4/5. There wasn't as much degeneration at C1/2/3, but isn't is C1 that causes headaches? Could it be facet joints? I have lost my lordosis, so that doesn't help the vague nerve. I have had every test under the sun for these headaches, all negative, the only explanation left is its coming from the neck.

@@brisbaneheadacheandmigrain3863 hi, I have already seen him and some walkins and it was classified as tension headache. It coming back mainly during menstruation k asked for a referred to neuro but it will be in December waittimes are long in Canada u less it’s urgent. Good news is I started physio/chiro at a clinic and been 4 sessions now and 3 weeks almost headache free and for the first period I had since I didn’t have a headache, I think it’s definitely helping. I also been careful to avoid the wind with a scarf (as I find it a trigger) and watch my posture and good I eat. What do you think it stems from ? Should I just wait for my appointment upcoming then

I recommend discussing with them what they think has been causing your migraines as they will have a much better understanding after doing some assessments and treatments with you. I hope this helps!
