Thank you! My repair worked! It was burnt in the exact same spot as yours. I was glad to see that you and someone else responded that your repair has held up for at least a year. I want to mention that my board had one extra connector in the corner that I don't see on all the videos for this washer. It is a plastic connector with a blue wire and a red wire and it attaches to a little Orange box in the corner, I think it might be because I have a steam dryer. Mine is also gas. I don't know what model you have. I think the extra connection is for one of those things. It was very very hard to pull that connection off. I had to get needlenose pliers up under it and really give it some pressure and some leverage to get it off. I don't know if someone was stronger hands than me could have just pulled it off with muscle. Thanks again!! You should video all your repairs of the washer and dryer!

Sorry for the half baked video I didn't know if I was going to be able to fix it. I didn't record taking it apart. After finishing the repair I found out that this is a common problem for this board and that sometimes what I did will work but sometimes it will just be a temporary fix. If it goes out again the relay is normally cause and should be replaced according to what I found out. Its my dryer so I will report back if I have problem in the future but its been good for 3 days now. Hope this video helps someone out.

mine is the cabrio platinum, but I had the same exact issue. thanks for the video it fixed my issue. time will tell if it will last or fail again, but it saved me in a pinch for now. I was prepared to buy a new dryer, but after taking a few things apart, I found the schematic, and was able to get into a diagnostic mode which gave me the F1 error. the Schematic says F1 is the control board. so after narrowing down that worst case.... a new board, I decided to turn to youtube. lol thanks again!

Yo, Dude! You did just great! I had an identical problem and followed your lead. Finished a load of blue jeans and so far so good! Didn't remember hearing the "flux" word, but the solder held. Looked alot like my first one 50 years ago but hey, nobody see's it but me! Thanks for your post!

Wow, my daughter had the same issue. Cleaned it up with a brush and soldered the terminal to the trace and it works good. Hopefully ours will do like the one post and last over a year.

Hi there - there is a black and red wire with a boot on each, do these just pull out of the block they are fed in to?
