I searched & searched all the manufactuer sites, then all the discussion groups, then all the repair guys; no one even suggested anything useful.....this is the first actual fix for the water dispenser issue; thnx soooo much !!!!! -worked exactly as described

Good video, but one point to make: you found 120v at the water control valve. If this was the case and the water control valve was good, water should have been flowing to the water dispenser without stop. The homeowner would have had quite a flood on the kitchen floor. Everything points to a bad water control valve and a bad relay on the main board sending constant voltage.

Hi there! Good video. Im really looking out for a special repair. Maybe you can help, me and others with the same problem. I have a double sided whirlpool White fridge 30 years old. Model ED27DQ It has been working super super great. So im keeping it as long as i can even if its yellowish. It has water and ice dispenser. Three days ago freeezer light, water and ice dispenser does not work. Freezer cools great and ice cubes stil are done. But light when oppening door does not lit and nothing comes out from water or ice dispenser. Do you know what might be the reazon why elecrticity that goes to light and dispenser do not flow? I cant find cable diagrams or videos at all. All videos are for newer edditions. Thanks in advance.

Most likely it main board failed

We’ve replaced the valve in back and changed the ice maker inside but when the ice disenchanted and water starts running in ice maker it runs over and doesn’t cut off

What is number for the plastic housing that holds the microswitch. The plastic pins that hold the switch in mine broke and I want to order a new one.
