Thanks for this Benjamin. Quite a good discussion. In 1989 I knew we were headed "here," and thought for the first time deeply about it when Stanford cancelled their Western Civilization course.

What blows my mind as how normal so-called intellectual people from universities and leaders think that if they model a society based around a 15% minority or slightly more and the other 70% majority are the new oppressed that this society is going to last. How could you put a 20% minority to a favorable status above everyone else and expect it to last long? *I'm not saying any minorities should be oppressed by any means* ... but we should all be equal. Wasn't that the whole point of the civil rights movements? Wasn't it to achieve equality and not favoritism? Critical race theory and intersectionality are simply role reversals. They're trying to make white people the new poor oppressed class and all the other classes that they consider to be oppressed the ruling class. It's not going to last with these numbers. How long do they think a minority rule will last?

I think a majority know that a society based on that model can't sustain itself for long. I think that's why they promote it.

They're claiming that white people's "unconscious bias" is the reason for the achievements gap. Therefore, we must have things taken away from us and given to the aggrieved minority groups. No lie, this was an actual argument on KZfaq. It stopped being about equality a long time ago.

It sucks that the Democrats have such a stranglehold on black America that subconsciously i dont realize people like Shelby Steele or Thomas Sowell exist. I just automatically assume that they're all like Tiffany Henyard or Roland Martin.

Hi Benjamin. Thanks for posting this video. I have seen you have a lot of stories on this channel relating to transgenderism and autogynephilia. I have a story very similar to Shane’s and have been looking for a platform to share my story. If you are interested in doing more interviews in this field I would be happy to come on and share my story. Please reply to this comment if you are interested. Kind regards. (PS - I left this comment on your other video but have left it head in case you don’t check comments on your old videos. Also wanted to add after watching another one of your videos I believe I may have a lot to add to the conversation)

A colleague of mine once told me meritocracy is a myth. Upon hearing that, I took it upon myself to explain to her our professional relationship, and the fact that she was speaking to me, as opposed to a stranger in the room, was because she had extended merit to me. That conundrum caused a serious glitch in her brain. 🐿

I never thought that diversity and inclusion required lowering the standards for inclusion. For example the professional requirements for nurses are standard, although nurses from minority backgrounds would be hired first. Also universities have an academic standard for entry, eg 75 percent high school average, regardless of racial background. Is this not the case?
@mkayokay3192
@mkayokay3192 2 ай бұрын
That was the original idea but in many areas they were not finding enough minorities who could meet the standards so the standards had to be lowered to make that original idea work. And here we are now - I’ve heard the bar exam for law graduates is being eliminated in some states. Why? It’s because minority graduates weren’t passing the test at high enough numbers.

The true arrogance is in those who make a choice to believe in a supernatural being, in the face of all evidence to the contrary. Such a person is saying, at minimum, they are smarter and more in touch with reality WITHOUT touching it, than other people are who are manipulating the real world. And those who believe in the brutal, jealous, and vengeful Abrahamic god are further saying that they are chosen by god (in various flavors) and the rest of us are doomed, AND that's a good thing because their deity wills it. Doesn't get more arrogant than that. It's obvious what this leads to, time after time.

It's not racial privilege that makes ppl most uncomfortable nowadays, it's IQ privilege, they're becoming anti-meritocracy, but everything's built on meritocracy.

White Christian guilt is different than white guilt strictly based on color. White Christian guilt is based on the Christian concept of morals….sins. It is quite easy to play on the concept of sin.

White guilt is just as poisonous as injustice. We need both honest justice and freedom from collective guilt. If true oppression and injustice is ignored, we get what we have, a fanatical and dishonest distortion of what is sincerely unjust, leading to more chaos. We need to share the resources of the world more equitably among the nations while keeping alive the spirit of aspiration and achievement. Incentives for excellence and innovation need to be a crucial part of a healthy society, as well as a guarantee of our basic needs. It’s not either/or. Anti-racism is divisive, as well as Israeli separatism and victimhood. The weaponization of victimhood and identity are used by both Ibram X Kendi and Benjamin Netanyahu to the grave detriment of society. Let’s stop the work of weaponized identitarianism here in the US before it gets to the level of Israel.

This guy has a rosy view of the 1980s, say, and conservatism. There were classical liberal elements to it, but it was also very authoritarian, and would have been more so had it been in charge of Congress. The progressives were so successful in that era BECAUSE of the failure of the right to be classically liberal. You don't need to see many people dancing on graves to understand they are the baddies.
