I'll never forget being in the room when this happen. Nobody knew Whitney was even in the room, didn't even announce her during the performance. When we hear a voice out of no where we knew she was here, literally the room when CRAZY. I'm so blessed to be able to say I saw her once live before her transition.

So glad that you decided to review this performance! Whitney, alonside Kim, brought the house down that night. People comment her voice was not the same or the range was gone....But I love how brilliant a musician she is. Whitney still knew how to cultivate and utilize her instrument even when there were specific registers she couldn't access anymore. She was and is and will forever be The Voice. I miss her.

Man Whitney’s voice was amazing until the end. I know she had her rough nights but I agree her voice never left considering the damage she did to her voice. Another great performance is Million dollar bill Italy and AMA’s 2009. Those performances sounded close to the My love is your love era Whitney. Can you please react to one of those?

I appreciate how respectful you are of Whitney and how you see her first and foremost as a person and not a vocal machine. She was a human and she did the best she could. God rest her soul. She was loved like no other, and she is still loved like no other. That woman was precious at all stages of her life.

Whitney is one of my favourite singers. I love this performance. Can you react to her performance on oprah Didn't know my own strength. Her voice is of course damaged but the performance is very emotional. She even chokes up towards the end of the song. I guess the lyrics were too personal to her life. Her voice just does something to my spirit. Whitney was a very spiritual woman who I believe was a Christian (I don't give a damn what anyone says just because someone is an addict doesn't mean they can't be religious). But she was forever in conflict. It saddens me deeply she got lost again and fell for temptation. Then her daughter followed. It is the SADDEST story in showbiz!

This was an amazing performance. Yes, Whitneys voice was not as great as it used to be, but she always gave her all when she was performing even in her later years. She still had amazing performances during her last years (her Oprah performance in 2009, X Factor performance in Italy in 2009 and her American Music Award performance also from 2009). Some of her great voice was still there, when she was well rested. I miss Whitney a lot, but her music and performances will always be there.

I REMEMBER WHITNEY ON THE JOHNNY CARSON SHOW. 1ST TIME I HEARD HER, IT WAS SHARP, AND CLEAR LIKE A BELL. THAT LIFE OUT THERE HURT HER SO BADLY, I HOPE SHE REALLY DID GET SAVED. THAT OTHER WOMAN , I HOPE SHE REALLY SINGS FOR THE LORD, SOME ARE SINGING FOR SELF PROJECTION . THAT'S WHY IF SOME ONE WAVES A RECORDING DEAL UNDER THEIR NOSE, THEY JUMP ON IT. A WORLDLY ONE THAT IS. IF SOME SING SONGS OF ZION FOR THE LORD, AND THEIR VOICES ARE OUT OF RANGE, HE HEARS IT LIKE A CLEAR SWEET SLASH OF COOL WATER.! I LOVE THE LORD.

@pahzplace78534 жыл бұрын
A gift never leaves! As why do you think the person has/was given it to begin with?! You can either nuture and cherish it, or you can ignore it and destroy it! As whatevers been gifted to you is supported by an energy or energies that do not fade or age (as in grow old). Too many folk look at others possessions (unearthly) as eartly possessions and will try to define them. Forgetting that one thing has zero to do with the other. Whitney said it herself, she just wasn't having fun anymore. Singing was fun to her (as it should be) as your gifts are meant to produce memorable moments. Ones that will surprise you as well as support your evolution. But there are those that will put their gifts into hands that were not meant to hold them, much less have direction or the needed guidance. As no one can control energy that has not been made available to them, neither has welcomed them.

This song was actually the highlight of the last tour. It was typically what she sounded best on most nights. There were some nights where she definitely did it more justice than here. I love what she did with the "NOW I LIFT MY HEEEAAAADDDD" live, but she rushed it here. But on the tour there were some nights she attacked that with SOOOOOO much power!!
