Hi Kevin, great job. I hope to make some of these as tree ornaments & give to my family. It is a great idea for scrap wood becoming a beautiful work of art to be enjoyed for years to come. Thanks for sharing your talent & ideas. It is most inspiring. My hand is healing nicely but taking awhile but I have stayed carving.

Can I ask, what liquid do you use to treat them with when you’re finished? And what’s the benefits of staining, Lin seed oil, varnish, etc? Can you do a video about finishing, painting, etc?

I use NaturOil. It's an oil used for cutting boards, wooden spoons and that kind of stuff. I find it better than linseed oil. Maybe my next video I will paint and finish whatever I whittle if I get time
