For sure East Asians are more passive aggressive whereas SE Asians will lash out directly. Chinese don't understand how to express emotion so it just boils up and accumulates with no healthy outlet. It's like anticipating a volcanic eruption, you're constantly on your toes wondering when the straw will break the camel's back. That anecdote about Viet girls encompassing both sides of the spectrum is so true. They will be clubbing till the wee hours of the morning on a weekday and then show up to their class in med school a few hours later.

I'm Taiwanese and my ex girlfriend was Taiwanese. She also had strange, self-hating asian traits. I had that phase when I was younger, but she almost still took pride in having fewer asian friends :/ I was confused why she would even like me! I think because I'm pretty white-washed as well.

As a Cambodian, our girls are kind of wild. But when you realize how much Cambodian women went through getting all their families out during the Khmer Rouge (while their fathers, brothers, and sons were fighting and dying in the war) I feel like the women have earned the right to be hard asses.

Cambodian women are like that because they have low IQ's. Most low IQ's groups are quick to anger and have that toxic mentality. Cambodians in general are considered by many westerners and east asians as a low value group, a group of people who are seen as invisible and who have accomplished very little if anything that garners any kind of recognition. I would hate to be cambodian.

Filipinos, men and women, ending up at or near the top of the toxic asians is kind of expected, considering that in a survey of who the most passionate people IN THE WORLD not just in Asia, Filipinos were ranked #1. Too passionate = too expressive with anything really = most likely TOXIC 🤣 and as to that comment why Singaporeans not being in the list, aside from the fact that many other Asian demographic aren't there too, well, Singaporeans were ranked in that same survey as the least passionate. You guys basically don't have any toxicity so I think SG'eans missing in that list is actually a compliment. And, this is just me, and this isn't meant to offend, I just think you guys were identified here as part of the Malaysian demographic. Your culture is basically the Malaysian culture, given that you were an offset country from them, just like the Taiwanese culture is basically Chinese.

What you view as normal or acceptable may not be in the larger context. However I am a Vietnamese guy and I know I was toxic but in my defense women loved it. This may have created toxic behaviors in those women I was seeing.

Here in Japan we have tatamae (outside face) and honne (true feelings). I met a few Mongolians in NJ (where I grew up) and in Kobe, Japan. They are chill. I'm half Japanese & Chinese born in the Philippines. Some Filipinas that work in the entertainment industry can be very toxic if things don't go their way with you. These gals remind me of some of the ones I've been around in NJ, NYC & Philadelphia. I just cannot escape! Korean Japanese are different than Korean Americans. Asian clubs? Not in my time. I do recall in the early 90s a trend of Asian nightclub events popping up in Philiadelphia, PA once in a blue moon. Now a days I'm just another rice cooker overseas.

Honestly, I have dated five East Asian ladies and married a HK woman ( who stopped work the moment we wed), and can say it depends on the person. Chinese FOB here. Chinese need a long time for dating before marriage so they can decide if they are compatible, can tolerate the other person's defects, and come to understand what is unspoken. My wife definitely expects me to read her mind and mostly I can, but when that fails ultimely an "idea" or complaint will surface, and if complaint, usually in the form of "what is wrong with your brain?, i.e., "you should know this!". Together 19 years, married 16 years, middle school daughter (like her mom) and a happy family because we do strive for "peace in the kingdom". However, you will never 100% meet Shanghainese woman's expectation, so get used to pressure!!! LOL.

Viet guy here. I have met like 2 Viet women that were not crazy. My grandmothers, mother, aunts, sister, etc are all crazy.

@@aaronmontgomery2055 yep I'm vietnameese too,my mom, and sister are crazy, my two other sisters are fine. Its how they are raise too, to think its ok to talk down on other people, and make assumptions like u right always. Gossip culture is very common in vietnamese churches and families. Its a very toxic culture that kinda embraces it like its right. When it really isn't lol. Thats why i mostly date fillpinas, or korean girls. even tho im vietnamese.
