I was surprised at how similar your musculature looks side by side, not in the bigger or smaller way but I think you can see you are brothers there where another guy would look quite different even with the same training.

Actually Matt brother is weak. I was going in gym from time to time and doing 140kg. And I was always thinking I'm weak. But seems I was not bad. Btw. I'm 203cm and 108kg.

Matt, I tore my left PCL playing college baseball. I went to work out with the football team and I, like you, did not put my left leg on the ground for a long time and I still don't have the same leg drive. I then tweaked my left peck because I could not get the same leg drive. Be safe, and get well soon!

The reason you tear a pec is because you are losing tension at the bottom in the shoulders and chest then using momentum to start the weight which takes load off the muscles and onto the tendons. Ideally pause one rep max attempts and if you still want to do touch and go then ensure you are maintaining maximum tension at the bottom and you touch your t shirt not right into your chest and an important factor is to maintain consistent speed on the descent, do not go down gradually close to a few inches off the chest and then speed up the last few inches where all tension is lost then throws off the bar path, all those things ensure safe bench one rep maxes.

You dont have to thrust and I do mine with my back straight on the bench coz i dont get why someone would lift with a bent spine ive seen videos on both but it seems safer to be flat on bench id say. But you should drive the legs into the floor and at a slight angle to fire your glutes.

Genuine question. Why do you hardly ever put on weight protectors (not sure of actual name, the thing that keeps the weights from falling off the bar) whether it be benching or power lifting? Is it personal preference? Is it a British thing? I'm genuinely curious.
