I was hoping for a mention of the bit in Forest of the Dead where Donna sees a brief projection of the Doctor. Donna: "I saw the Doctor" Dr. Moon: "Yes, Donna. You did. And then you forgot." Foreshadowing the season finale where the Doctor has to wipe her mind of all memories of him.

I think Astrid saying ‘look no stars’ was subtly referring to the issue of light pollution, before exclaiming the air stinks, referring to air pollution. Perfectly realistic alien tourist reaction to London 😆

That shot from 'Tooth and Claw,' where the Doctor is pressed against a wall, listening for the 'big bad wolf' on the other side, mirrors that from the finale: the Doctor and Rose (the 'Bad Wolf') clinging to either side of a wall, straining to hear each other across realities.

There's actually an interesting piece of foreshadowing in the 9th Doctor's season. In the episode where they first visit Satellite 5, the one with Adam as the companion and the Jagrafess, that episode is titled 'The Long Game'. However there's nothing in that episode alone where that title necessarily makes sense. It isn't until the 2 part finale for 9, which sees them go back to Satellite 5, where The Doctor says, "Someone's been playing the long game", a reference to the fact that the Daleks had been planning that entire scheme the whole time.

You missed in the god complex when he said to amy "what's the alternative me standing over your grave?" And it really ended by him standing over her grave in the angels of Manhattan

In Scholl Reunion, the 10th Doctor says to Rose: "You can spend the rest of your life with me, but I can't spend the rest of mine with you. I have to live on. Alone." This can be seen as a foreshadowing of what happens in Jouney's End. Rose spends her live with the (Meta-Crises) Doctor and grows old with him, while the original Doctor moves on alone.

David Tennant's Regeneration was planned from the start of his Run, Russell T Davies and David Tennant had planned how the Tenth Doctor would die, not too long after David took the part. He was always going to die saving someone he cared about, not specifically Wilfred as he was only gonna be a throwaway character but they brought him back after the Actor of Donna's Dad died so he could fill that role, so they got Bernard Cribbins to do it. But either Way, David's Regeneration was planned before Series 2 aired

The Ashildr comment takes a few additional levels. One of her key problems with her immortality is that her limited human memory means that so much of her past is simply forgotten, which explains her comment; when smoke blows away it leaves no trace, just like how the people she lost have simply faded from her memory, remaining exclusively as entries in her diaries, even her own children. Normally this is not the case for the Doctor, who even centuries later remembers the people he loved and lost... except Clara, who he does forget. Just like Ashildr predicted.

Gweneth in The Unquiet Dead predicted the reality bomb and the darkness of the stars going out "the things you see. The darkness, the big bad wolf". Also, when Clara is killed by the raven, you can see a light flash just before the raven hits her which doesn't happen to the other guy which foreshadows something else happened

With 4 knocks it's also a great misdirect because the Simm master had that obsession with tapping 4 times which viewers remembered so "oh shit it's giong to be the master?" and then it very much isn't.

another clever moment I see people missing is in "the day of the doctor" when the 3 doctors incinerate a Dalek with their sonics screwdrivers, people ask how they were able to do that but airlier in the episode when they were trying to break out of the prison (with an open door lol) they had established that the sonics could do that because their external hardware would change but the software inside stays the same so they could start and finish disintegration calculations that would usually take centuries practically instantly that scene also foreshadowed the method they would later use to save Gallifrey (which makes sense since the line about how the hardware changes but the software stays the same was a metaphor about the doctor)

YANA and "The only water in the forest is the river" were clever pieces of foreshadowing too

People missed the foreshadowing in "Flesh and Stone" that when the Doctor comes back briefly to give a "blind" Amy the pep talk he has a jacket on, which at this point he had given away. Eluding to what most people would've wrote off as continuity error but it was actually future Doctor rewinding from "The Big Bang."

I thought Saxton's campaign posters appearing in Torchwood was a great touch

I'm not sure this counts as foreshadowing but it's in Fires of Pompeii when the augor says to Donna "There is something on your Back" which sort of sets up the episode "Turn Left"

Another note on 9 might be that during that episode (Bad Wolf and Parting of the Ways), the panels used to open doors could be used by the handprint prominently on them but also by the Dalek's suction cup with it being shaped to fit one. Just thought I should point that one out because it's another cool detail within the episode that foreshadows.

The Dalek bumps in the canvas prints on the wall of the Big Brother house on the Game Station were photographs of the walls of stations on the Prague Metro, not "paintings". The Prague Metro is a front for a Dalek incursion of Earth.

I don't think the one in 'the doctor dances' is foreshadowing as Jamie knew (or thought he knew) he had a sister, he just always wanted to know who his mum was as he felt alone without her, if he already had a sister and was just looking for his mother he wouldn't be thinking of his sister when drawing those pictures. if that makes sense?

A piece of absolutely accidental but still amazing bit of foreshadowing comes in the 1996 Doctor Who: The Movie: when The Master (in his assumed body as Bruce the ambulance driver) returns to the hospital to learn The Doctor's location, he raps his fingers on the reception desks glass four times.

I don't know if it counts as foreshadowing, but one thing I noticed while watching Modern who for the second time, was how in the season leading up to the Atmos episode.. everyone's cars had Atmos stickers on them. While formerly it was just written off as stickers on cars, it turned out to be an actual plotline later.

The Doctor-Donna was foreshadowed before we ever met Donna Noble, and with the Doctor meeting Wilfred as he was selling papers at a stand foreshadowed the introduction of Donna as well.

This is all from the revival. There is an episode in the first doctor sereil the Tenth Planet where the Doctor is kind of incapacitated and Polly asks him what is wrong. The Doctor kind of implies that his body is wearing a bit thin; which forshadows the regeneration later in the episode.

That 'Pizza Geronimo' one was a bigger stretch than the TARDIS' interior dimensions Also, why does he keep going on about the Multiverse? Never heard that at all in DW

The four knocks could also be a reference to the famous "ta-ta-ta-tum" at the beginning of Beethoven's fifth symphony.(probably the one bit of classical music everyone's heard.) It's supposed to represent fate knocking on the door.

Astrid could've just been referring to not being able to see the stars as easily because they were in an urban area. 8:55 is explained away by the fact that the child is focusing on his desire to find his mother. The fact that he doesn't draw images of an older sister does NOT explain why there isn't one. 11:00 Surely Tennant's departure wasn't 100% confirmed by the time Midnight was being filmed. There were still thoughts he'd continue through to the season after the Specials, so the 4 knocks CAN be a coincidence. A lot of these are a desperate reach, and one hopes for better in future videos.

I may be wrong but I think when Astrid says that there is no stars it is supposed to be in reference to the fact that in cities and particularly big cities like London is you see far fewer stars (owing to the population + pollution, seriously look up at the sky at night in a more rural area compared to a city) and I guess wherever she is from they don't have that problem. Main reason I think this is because the Doctor doesn't seem that concerned by the comment, which if the stars had completely disappeared he would show more concern. In regards to Jamie and Nancy, I literally never thought that they were pictures of his "mother", I always assumed they were of his "sister", some children that have lost one or both parents use drawing as a coping mechanism and often will draw the person who looks after them in a positive light because they see them as safety and they become their world. Now since she always told Jamie that he was her brother and not her son the pictures still make sense because she was his security especially in mad times like those. So while it's possible I don't know that this was foreshadowing necessarily. In regards to Last Christmas, that was a stair lift? I thought it was a table. It can't be a stair lift foreshadowing an older Clara because that was also a dream and if it was a stair lift why would she need to get off at the landing? Also where is the railing system that it runs on? I think that may be a bit of a goof on your part.

The Gallifrey leitmotif appears in Utopia when the Doctor and Professor Yana first meet. To my knowledge this is the first time the music appeared in the series, so the significance couldn't have been noted upon its initial airing, but looking back it's great foreshadowing.

Doctor Who is one of the best English language shows ever. I watched it as a kid on PBS in black & white (that's the TV we had) and get to watch it as an adult now. In this time of streaming shows and canceling even good ones after a season or two the continuing popularity mixed with creativity and a bit of social commentary means that Doctor Who will ve around for many more years.

The starlift was very much intentional and was meant to be more overt originally as that was meant to be Jenna's last episode as Clara. She decided however to stay for one more season last minute so they changed the end which would originally have been the part of her being old and the Doctor being too late. The blonde northern lass was also set up as a possible future companion in the episode which never ultimately happened.

I would have assumed to see "Song for Ten" from Christmas Invasion on the list. Or is that foreshadowing that's so in the face nobody missed it? :D (Still breaking my heart though with its "I woke up today and you're on the other side, our time will never come again, ... , but if you can still dream, close your eyes, it will seem, that you can see me now and then", hinting at the season finale.)

In the Christmas episode "Last Christmas" one of the characters has a Christmas Itinarary. On the List is "Thrones marathon" or something like that. A major Character arch in the next Season is a character named Lady Me. also known as Ashildr. Played by Maisie Williams. Who is better known for her part on Game of Thrones.

A lot of the stuff here, as well as stuff in this comment section, is coincidence. Like, obviously some of these are actual foreshadowing but just because two things happen to line up somewhat similarly doesn't mean that one foreshadows the other
